No chip stocks have perforned as bad as that as growth of the semiconductor industry is solid. Temporal decrease of profit is not uncommon among semiconductor stocks, though.

Kenaga is generally most bearish on semiconductor stocks. I think Kesm's TP from CIMB will stay the same.

"Despite earnings cut, we upgrade KESM to MP (market perform) (after a rollover of TP (target price) of RM18.30), as we see attractive valuation after its deep correction and robust growth in FY19. Kenanga said it trimmed its KESM TP to RM18.30, from RM18.40 previously.

Kwap may be buying Kesm.

But it's just one quarter where they did not do well. Plus i think semiconductor stocks are likely to be bullish in the second hslf of the year.
