KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 12): The negotiations on the potential reinstatement of five stations for the now 86.5% completed-Light Rail Transit 3 (LRT3) with the Ministry of Finance (MOF) are underway and could catalyse (), the project's main contractor, according to RHB Research.

Notably, in July 2018, cost reduction measures resulted in the cancellation of six stations.

Four years later, in the fourth quarter of 2022, Prasarana Malaysia approached on the feasibility of reintroducing these previously cancelled stations, except for the Persiaran Hishamuddin station, which could potentially be valued at RM1 billion.

We refer to the announcements dated 25 March 2022, 3 June 2022, 10 June 2022, 22 March 2023, 19 April 2023, 20 September 2023 and the subsequent monthly announcements made by the Company pursuant to Paragraph 8.03A of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”).

On behalf of the Board of Directors of IWCity, Maybank Investment Bank Berhad wishes to announce that Bursa Securities has vide its letter dated 18 October 2023, granted the Company a further extension of time of 6 months up to 24 March 2024 for the Company to submit a regularisation plan to the relevant regulatory authorities.

The aforesaid extension of time is without prejudice to Bursa Securities’ right to proceed to suspend the trading of the listed securities of IWCity and to de-list the Company in the event:

(i) the Company fails to submit its regularisation plan to the relevant regulatory authorities on or before 24 March 2024;

(ii) the Company fails to obtain the approval from any of the regulatory authorities necessary for the implementation of its regularisation plan; or

(iii) the Company fails to implement its regularisation plan within the time frame or extended time frame stipulated by any of the regulatory authorities.

Upon occurrence of any of the events set out in (i) to (iii) above, Bursa Securities may suspend the trading of the listed securities of IWCity on the 6th market day after the date of notification of suspension by Bursa Securities and may de-list the Company, subject to the Company’s right to appeal against the delisting.

In fact, I'm wondering, IB issue CW, at a price, let say RM 0.15, 100mil shares, with an expiry date and exercise price.

Who own these CW? IB itself? Those shares are in their hand? They have to fork out 15mil to take them? Or they only issued these shares and sell to the market without any capital?

If based on the example above (0.15 @ 100mil). So, then, on listing day, the price could be RM 0.05? Wow. Big loss straight away. Who want to take that 100mil @ 0.15? I guess nobody want. I'm not sure.

Pang72, it should be considering as healthy consolidation. Many benefits from this pattern. Eg. Investors will gain from the mid long term development (landbank), flush out speculators and punters, and so on. Once it hit below 800, it will slowly or quickly rebound back and stabilize around 800 and above, and vol is thin (not more than 50mil and 100mil shares exchanged hands). Previously, those big block of shares from Urusharta (UH), still no news yet, once those shares are returned to UH, it will suddenly become substantial shareholder again. Hihihi. Quite fishy.

So, coming month(s), mkt will still active as long as HSR project is not confirmed and hard to know who will get it (open tender). But, one thing for sure is that, land bank owners will benefit from it. At the same time, it is for phase 1 (SG KL)? Phase 2 leh, from KL to Thailand? If with HSR in place, tourism and place of interests all over in Malaysia, all States, will also benefit from it too. And, Penang (Gamuda) project in budget 2024? Most of the States in Msia will benefit from this HSR if it runs well, the govt will be collecting more income and more and more while HSR is otw to be built. That is a long term goal. Just like SPORE MRT project started in 1987 (if not mistaken) from Yio Chu Kang & Toa Payoh. And now 2023, it is still expanding. Well done.
