Gomen is killing off potential investors with these taxes and is truly unfair to planters in East Msia.WIth price of crude oil rising the gomen shouln't raise revenue this way . In reality not only plantations are affected the whole market is affected only speculative stocks go up looks like satu keluarga making investors keluar. Having said that what options do you have other than looking for returns better than what the banks give you and Taan would deliver a decent yield

Going forward there will be serious shortage of foodstuff worldwide edible oil included and there is no way palm oil is going to fall back to below 3000 level. Valuations wise I like Taan and SOP although they are Swak based

Frankly what stocks can you invest in Bursa other than plantations and some tech stocks I would think plantations is still the best bet. You only need to look at 6 to 12 months time frame is good enough d no need to look at very long term nobody will tell what is the long term really hold just look at the gloves stocks you will understand. For the next 3 to 12 months plantation counters will make super profit only the taxes give some minor hiccups

9 months YTD made 873 mil and coming Q4 can easily make 150 mil so this is the record earnings for lctitan history achieved in FY 2021. PBT can surpass 1 bil. I remember sometime ago JPM had a TP of RM5.50 for tis stock. Their call on gloves stock is spot on

Look at this way bro if there is another dividend of 12 sen next year which is very likely, there would be a total of 30 sen and at the current price it give you a yield of 11% and unless you have better returns from other investments you should just hold or buy a little at a lower price bcoz if you put your money in the bank you will have to wait at least 3.5 yrs to get the equivalent returns and along this period of time there should be one bull market when you can sell at a profit so no worry lah

Another 15 sen dividend next yr. Told you Q3 profit would be affected by the maintenance turnaround but Q4 PBT would be better irresecpective of crude oil price as its product ASP is at all time high can achieve 1 bil profit for FY 2021 no problem lah

@Thomas Chan perhaps the price of gloves counters have fallen to a more reasonsble level. Even Kossan paid a total of 36 sen a share giving a yield of more than 14% but when you go for the 12 sen pending dividend that is no guarantee that you may not suffer capital loss later !

Super profit for the next 6 months for sure. Don't worry of what others are saying. When Top gloves was trading at RM30 some IBs gave the TP of RM50 when it was trading around RM35 the IBs said it will go to RM80 only to see it fall like a deflated parachutte and now all IBs have downgraded the gloves counters hurting everyone ! The only negative about Taan is the windfall tax
