JAKS price can stand like that, most probably its shares has been cornered. hence the "stupid-losser" is at the mercy of the super-investor....

all the management got to do is to explain the difference la,...what is the big deal? so long as the big shareholders can sell their shares... by the time you found out the "different view on accounting treatment"... everybody scared like mad and throw the shares like rubbish, then big players bot it back dirt cheap. company is still theirs, but more money in the pocket

no investors take in, they got to take lor, then the right issue must be dirt cheap for them to take risks, later on fry up to pay the debts. so long it is not final qtr, can do adjustment on accounts, KYY is one of the expert here.. even lectured Gadang bossy how to do it. kakkaka. JAKS big shareholders all want JAKS to hold the price, else later right issue they have to fork out the money. If that is the case, they may eventually sell down and come out with cheap cheap right issue plus this plus that free to attract investors to pour in money.

to me... if JAKS is asking for money now...that mean it has encounter a serious problem now... They should have plan ahead and raise money earlier. Now may be they hit problem so they have no choice but to have a cash call... if you wanna take the risk and wait for few years to see only "possible " returns after few years... go a head lor.... JAKS spends money in Vietnam projects when RM is weak, later if RM is strengthening... that mean lower than expected incom.. jiak-sai lor that time...

Gadang give bonus issue (that mean investor dun have to pay money to the company but just locked up their profit in the company to turn to capital) plus free warrant. YOU THINK WHICH ONE IS BETTER LEH? if BONUS issu with free warrant is NO FREE LUNCH, RIGHT ISSUE WITH WARRANT is free lunch? kakaka

the last few days, many people including experts bought Gadang before the ex date for the free bonus shares, warrants and share split despite its unpromising outlook. Basically the company cannot make more money in the current year than last financial year. According to my share selection golden rule, if you buy Gadang, you will lose money because at the end of the year when it announces reduced profit the price will surely fall.

Basing on the open information that Gadang has completed a large part of their contract works and it has Rm 604 million worth of contract works remained in its order book. Moreover, its profit from its property development is uncertain in view of the oversupply of properties in every town and city in Malaysia.

It announced 5 sen EPS for its 1st quarter ending August 2016 which is most disappointing and most smart investors will know that it cannot make more money in this year than last financial year.

Now the price of Gadang has fallen 3 sen per share this morning and it is still falling as I am writing this article.

The moral of the story: there is no free lunch. Basic fundamentals in share selection is still most important.

If investors know that Gadang can make more money this year than last financial year its share price should be going

This one also good advice for JAKS. Jaks now making huge losses on its property arm. and hor,

read the "investors ... they have to wait 8 years before they can see that the company has profit growth which is the most important catalyst to move share prices.

Property Development Business:
Acquisition of a new piece of land does not necessarily mean that the company will surely make additional profit, especially when there is currently an oversupply of properties in every town and city in Malaysia.

Even if the land is cheap, it takes about 1 year to get planning approval, another 1 year to draw all the architectural plans, another 1 or 2 years to get approval. Calling tender and selection of contractors will take at least another 1 year. Construction will take at least another 2 years. Assuming all the projects can be sold with profit, investors can only hope to see announcement of profit after 8 years.

If investors rush to buy the share as soon as they see the announcement of land acquisition, they have to wait 8 years before they can see that the company has profit growth which is the most important catalyst to move share prices.

This one serves JAKS well. some more foreign countries contract.


Construction contracting business:
Securing a new contract does not necessarily mean the company will surely make additional profit.

Studies have shown that there are more failures and bankruptcies in the contracting business than in any other business, and also almost all construction projects are not completed within the original scheduled time.

The delay in completion will cost the contractor more and that is why you can often see abandoned projects which have been undertaken by inefficient contractors. There are many reasons for this peculiar phenomenon.

possible JAKS price is being maintain for right issue, even push up.. so lari kuat kuat ya... else you got to take right issue later. and hor, if everybody dun wanna take right issue, sure die liao JAKS... double lao-sai, I tell you...If you take right issue, U slow slow wait n years, kakaka, dun forget JAKS got loss making bussiness that eaten up its resources, and steel price is escalating... this is business sense....
