At current rates PBB & MBB should be good; even better after this kobis vaccination drive opens up the economy and all those pentup demands explodes for a better future & growth

Point 5:The funds are using some anchor shares for getting loans at a cheap rate from banks and imagine if a fund keeps maybank shares for 3 yrs with a dividend of RM.0.60 per yr, thats RM1.80 off the market price as of today, means they can sell off at a lower price and and still make a handsome profit. cos they control the price and pakat among themselves so that retail investors hold the shares as most of us will buy as the price goes up and hold tight if it goes down. And they will come back when they see they can goreng the shares as economy picks up as they set the time to push up,.

i must add a disclaimer that all these are just my opinion only and not a buy or sell call.

Point 4: They have holding power but we dont.they have big funds, we dont....... so preety much thwy dictate , we just follow. WE buy many in small quantities but we dont buy in sync, They buy a not many but in sync, so they decide on the price movement, as we are cannot manipulate by buying 100k worth of shares.. by 10 indivial each but they can change the direction by buyimg 1 mil in a short period of time.

Point 3: The is manipulation by fund managers by selling and buying among themselves to fix the price as they dictate. ANd u can see many analyst comming out with reports on how rosy or bad the sector which will be based on the requirement on the funds. Not logical for analyst to make the masters suffer losses by telling u what is actual. Why would they let you win by free advice? SO they mix and just load some story and some say up and some say down... so u are more confused before you had read their report.

Point 2: There is no perfect world equation. eg if u get $1 in dividend, as it is taken out of the company to pay your dividend, u would think just minus that amount form the share price and expect it to be stable>? They will obviously make it fluctuate. the more the better ( for the Fund managers gain)

Point 1: The brokerage you pay+ commission is not the same as the big fund managers pay; we will lose by a far margin.

kfliau: there are a few terms u have to realize and accept before u can understand the relationships/ (no full proof; partial proof can be derived)

kfliau: this is for Qtr 1 usually no dividend but the next qtr (announced end August) they usually give dividend

Lets see if the sources are right or not

from what i heard, MBB qtr result will be a little better and this price is already factored in... so dont expect any price increase. That's why u see so many sellers at 8.34

ooi Fund managers... if u dont bring up the price ... how are u going to face the public when it goes below rm8 after the ex date? MBB would look weak... so i suggest you push up the peice a bit .. maybe 8.40-8.45... might make the retail investers to load up and u can sell to them.

recent high was 8.40.. now 8.34 coming back up.. my take it will push up above 8.39 so ex price is above 8.00 .. elsebad image for MBB as the top contender for greatest stock on bursa,
