EPS used to be 35 sen per share per qtr early last year, now it is only 7.88 sen per qtr. big drop.. so wont get dividend or 30 to 40 sen a share as it only earns 7 sen per share per qtr.

MBB has to wait for Bursa approval as it involves issuence of new shares for DRIP... that's why MBB can declare a high dividend yield as they do not pay cash from the cash register and pay ypu with shares only.. so high dividend also just on paer only.. if u want cash.. u sell and other investors pay their dividend value.. so it is a win win and you take the risk of price going up or down... and because of this they give you a discount of 4-5% (usually) from the market price when they declare DRIP

The Dividend Reinvestment Plan is a tool which allows existing shareholders to own more Maybank
shares at a discounted price to the prevailing market value. Due to the expanding equity base from
the DRP, it would only be natural that a dilutive impact on a per share basis would be seen for nonDRP subscribers, but on the other hand these shareholders will be enjoying the full cash dividend.

When will cash part of dividend will be paid?

We intend on paying the Final Dividend for FY2020, which we are seeking approval from
shareholders today, by the end of June 2021.
