Why can't you recommend a stock like Bonia? 200% and hasn't dropped yet?

@dompeilee you are making another mistake again. If it's so easy, there are hundreds of stocks trading below book value.

Just because it is trading below book value doesn't mean it is a good investment.

The issue of FBM index lies within the fact that the index consistently ostracizes the winners and embrace the losers. Hong Leong Financial Group is the few movers of the index with the least analyst upgrades/coverage and highest SD for earnings estimates.
This is really boring

It is best to stop worrying about short-term fluctuations and accumulate high-quality tech stocks for future dividends as growth slows.

A lot of people thought investing in tech stocks especially Malaysian companies is as easy as following Nasdaq's market close and Nasdaq futures. Honestly, Nasdaq futures market is heavily manipulated and hedge funds abuse it to their advantage. Especially CTA-focused and stats arbs funds.
The golden age of price discovery for tech stocks is over. It is best to pick winners and treat them like value stocks. Or else be prepared for more disappointments

A gradual reopening of borders in Asia is fueling a hunt for trades that will derive the biggest boost from a recovery in consumption and investment. Soaring commodity prices will boost the coffers of exporters such as Indonesia and Malaysia although some analysts warn the damping effect on global growth may outweigh the positives.
“Higher commodity prices should be most beneficial to Malaysia and Indonesia’s terms of trade in the region,” the Goldman analysts wrote. “We think the won and Taiwan dollar should underperform given the expeditious pace of Fed normalization, slowing Chinese growth and persistent equity outflows.”
