I love the markets and like to call myself as the biggest bull on KLSE. Malaysian stocks are significantly undervalued but most local investors are still pessimistic. They are WRONG

Ok I will do more research on small cap plantation. Will let you know soon and discuss further. Pick one that has not exploded yet and preferably with a smaller float

Your last point is correct.
But you stated that foreign funds were smart to buy up Malaysian palm oil stocks to hedge. Your statement is slightly flawed because foreign funds only started scooping up in Q4 2022. ESG-oriented investment is really much more complicated than that. This is the beginning of the palm oil bull run.

@Johnzhang @calvintaneng
I have solid knowledge of the sentiment among foreign investors in plantation. A lot of them are dubious and concerned with the ESG risks. The issue is, the large increase in profits posted by these companies especially KLK was too good to ignore. Which explains the surge in volume and share price for the past 8 trading days.

Very handsome and ambitious boss behind this company.
Trading at a modest valuation (not amazing, yet)
EV/EBITDA 11.6x
Slightly negative FCF yield
With some debt but not too bad.
We will continue to observe the future prospects associated with expansion of warehouse capacity in Klang and recent trends in sea freight rates.

Geopolitical risks and Russia-Ukrainian tension remains elevated. Just witnessed the biggest volume surge in gold futures expiring April 2022. Commodity boom always ends with a gold rally after oil and other commodities.
When boomers hear about rising gold prices in the coming months, Tomei will beat their quarterly earnings eventually. I don't believe the statement that Tomei cannot benefit from higher gold prices. When crypto prices fall, young people are going to learn their lesson and load up on gold. Short Bitcoin and long gold

Analysts are never going to cover Batu Kawan or give any price targets. As I've said before, no analyst coverage means virtually unlimited upside. Batu Kawan will always move in tandem with Kuala Lumpur Kepong.
We remain very optimistic on Malaysian equities for the short and medium term. Took profits from US and EU and overweight on emerging market mid and large caps such as Malaysia, Vietnam and Philippines. We have lost faith in US stocks

Insiders have not dumped. Hold and buy in small sizes every day. Keep collecting until the end of Q2 2022. Small caps especially Malaysia will outperform this year

Small cap plantation done. Bull cycle always ends with the large caps. Same with tech stocks, small cap tech stocks such as D&O and Frontkn followed by MPI and Greatech.
Now we move from Ta-ann and Boustead to the big boys KLK Simeplt and Genting

Small cap plantation recommended by Calvin all exploded. Good call good call. And now it is large cap's turn. My biggest position in KLK due to a balance in ESG and earnings prospect.
KLK > Sime Darby Plantation.

Haha ikr. It was pure satire. I invested in BAT and that company is even worse than plantation companies.
Too many palm oil contracts expiring next month. I only buy small cap plantation and KUALA LUMPUR KEPONG. KLK has better news flow and less ESG risks

ESG issue is still persistent, what you are chasing is short-term performance. Most mutual fund analysts cannot buy companies plagued with labour issues due to compliance. Clearly you never worked in finance before
