I love the markets and like to call myself as the biggest bull on KLSE. Malaysian stocks are significantly undervalued but most local investors are still pessimistic. They are WRONG

An MSCI gauge of Southeast Asian, or Asean, equities fell less than 2% this week and rose to an 18-month high relative to the Asia benchmark, which slumped almost 5%.
“Asean is now less vulnerable than in the past as current account balances have improved and valuations on equities, bonds and currencies are less demanding,” UBS Group AG strategists including Niall MacLeod wrote in a note Thursday. “Markets are in a much better position relative to 2013.”

Bursa tech will become the new bank stocks with low beta and low growth. Markets to remain flat until midterm elections; Democrats will not let the markets to fall before their performance review since that would be a poor political strategy.

The street is planning a bigger sell-off based on the consensus among other equity strategists. Fixed income analysts, on the other hand, are predicting a flattening curve for US. For Malaysia, Sell 3Y Buy 10Y spread has inverted for a long time so it doesn't matter. It's 50/50
Still no market color on big tech earnings yet. But a lot more QQQ/SPY puts will be expiring next month. Retail investors are getting smarter too, thus creating further downward spiral. Before mid March, institutional investors will basically keep shorting tech and going long volatility.

I have been a tech bull especially Greatech and MPI for almost one year and a half.
I literally warned everyone in this forum on December 17 that a lot of counterparties (including foreign/local institutions) were shorting Greatech (RSS). And yet the gang consisting of CakeMoon / OTB / i3 pumpers (pang72 is my good friend haha so nvm) keep luring new tech investors to buy the dip. I seriously doubt if they actually buy themselves.
Sophisticated investors (large account size) were already informed to get out of our position in tech and received market color on the next earnings estimates. And unfortunately, there are still a lot of retail investors providing liquidity for institutions to take profits.

Yeah institutions are slowly dumping tech stocks. 2022 could be the year tech underperform. Investing in tech right now is similar to investing in banks. Not much growth left but collect dividends and low risk yields.
I am absolutely speechless at how manipulated this forum can be sometimes. Anyways I don't care anymore because I no longer trade Malaysian equities. :)
Nevertheless, buy the dip on the last trading week of February. Bursa tech will continue to rise in the next 5 years. Short term pain long term gain.

It is extremely easy to recommend cyclical stocks. Low PE - Dump. Negative earnings - Buy the dump. That's literally it. And perhaps follow commodities trend
