re: Highfive, correct on the interest... but this is only analysis on their accounts, what actions they do is still something of interest... coz, can see that their funding cost has gone up... which is not good... they are now transferring debt from long term debt to short term debt... hopefully the banker as chairman can help maneuver the best funding option...

read through Kossan report over the weekend, interesting, at least profit is increasing... but margin expansion is still not there... took on a lot of debt for expansion... i think for acquisition of land in Perak, building of 2 new plants as well... but strange is its margin increase due to more revenue, like gloves, increased 18%, but profit also increased 18%... which should be profit also increase much more... so i would think volume increase, but either ASP under pressure or opex increases due to nitrile cost... don't really like the debt increase... at least superman's debt is backed by gst/tax refundable of 30+mil, 2 big landbank which they can monetise, treasury shares of RM48mil (which is now worth RM100mil)... easily cash of more than RM150mil.... which can cut debt to half or at least use for expansion...

This glory will be helped by kossan good result...

@raja, mine is daily EMA13 and EMA34... almost similar to your weekly MA10... but weekly MA10 can't catch the fall in end aug... not that i took profit then also... i just left it for this stock, usually for other stock, i would do the exit and enter when EMA13 cross back up EMA34... :)

that time got APL industries issue... in 2007, so after split 2.30... it went downhill all the way... coz need to charge impairment etc... this time, so far didn't see anything that affects financial. worst case is more tax etc... nothing related to financial... not even jail is related to financial.. i think we have a chance at 2.30 again... and possibly if US drops during that time, it may do a back test at 2 for support....

For historical, during 2007, it went from 2.60 to 4.54... then on first day of split close at 2.30...

i remember Datosri mentioned before, when they analyse this sector, they found margins can be as high as 1000%... it does make sense, contact lens is only polymer... that small piece of polymer is how much you think? and their lens is thin one, not thick... other ingredients are filcon II water, and electricity... those robotics, need high electricity? no need... the chemist they hire now, can deal with 70million, and upon expansion 200million... no need to add more... headcount expenses is upfront... not like gloves keep expanding, keep adding headcounts...

@charles, yes 70million lens per year... machine cost RM100mil for the first 70million, understood is RM150mil for the next 150million pieces .... but superman is not harta... usually it overpromise but underdeliver (timeline wise)... meaning, it takes longer time to execute... hence the lower PE... Harta is smooth operator... superman always like to play with the clouds when flying...
Dont forget, St Shine optical makes lenses for Hubble contacts of USA... who is charging USD33 per 60 pieces lens... and still make quite a fair bit of profit...

That means the selling price is about RM2.22 per piece vs cost of RM1... (malaysia cost of production is less against japan)
For Superman, their selling price is USD30 (RM126) in US for 60 pieces (30 pairs). In M'sia it is pricing it about RM60 for 60 pieces (RM1 per piece, or RM2 per pair, initially was priced at RM130)... we can guesstimate that the revenue per year of 70million pieces is between RM70million to RM150million. Gross profit could be in the region of RM35 to 70million per year.... Lets take RM40million as a guide... when they add 150million pieces (becomes 220million in total), that will be RM40 X 3 = RM120million profit in few years time... ? that's quite conservative against St Shine of RM200+million net profit for 250million pieces... even at 100million profit, it is still 100% from yearly net profit...

for info purpose, St Shine optical's (of Taiwan) net profit is about RM200+million with 250million pcs of lens... that's where superman wants to expand to adding 150million pcs to its 70million pcs in few years time... St Shine said 20 new lines will be open to satisfy demand in Japan and USA...
