aiyo, Natu, dont scare pple lar, Treasury shares = 24.5million... @ RM1.95 per share... if share price push to RM8.6 = 4.5 X of RM1.95 cost price, once they liquidate will get RM210million... easily pay off a lot of debt.... not forgetting they are selling some land in Klang + income tax owe them... etc...

remember in Malaysia for long term investment... really need to find companies that do global business like harta, topglove... etc... that can scale up... we don't have Apple, Alibaba, amazon etc... so not much choices... public bank also not bad, if the growth in Vietnam starts kicking aggressive mode...

ok, another analysis... International markets usually follow Dow Jones... S&P and NASDAQ for local American, mostly international money buys DJIA... When DJIA up, usually worldwide global company will up... from 2015 low to 2018 high, DJIA is 80% up. In that timeframe, superman rise from 1.60 to 4.6... which is:-
every increase of DJIA by 0.8 = superman increase by 2.875
Hence, when Dow Jones reaches 40000, which is another 0.8 increase from 25k, superman should rise by 2.875 = RM3 X 2.875 = RM8.6 before ex, and 4.3 after ex... so looking forward to 2019 RM9 target before ex and RM4.5 after ex...

RM57mil PBT one of the quarter, if they can repeat that for 4 quarters... easily RM200mil PBT

@wind, if they can profit before tax 200mil, then that finance cost is little...

actually finance cost has gone up quite a lot... during FY17, it was only RM11mil per year, FY18 should be about RM14mil, but if you notice the Q4, it's already RM4mil per quarter... so that means FY19 could reach RM16mil... while borrowings for business is ok, but never want that to stretch out of hand... bcoz interest rates for US bank is increasing... before you know it, next year could be more than 3% already....

Lets have a guessing game.. What will be the price right b4 ex?

@wind, once they release annual report in Oct, we will know more... another round of analysis...

in Q2 FY18, we saw a glimpse of RM57mil pre tax profit out of RM335mil, that they possibly can achieve such feat...so the refurbishment of its plants should have very positive results in the long term.... if they can consistently do that with after tax more than 40mil, then market cap of current Kossan is achievable... which is RM5b compared to superman RM2.2b....

@wind, i think they already revealed a little about this contact lens business... 1) Cashflow positive 2) every lens produced is profitable 3) RM15mil per year used for marketing expenses.. i think what it means is profit maybe in the region RM15mil, which they use for marketing... Firstly, this business will only experience big expansion when they get approval from China SFDA which already 3 years application still no news. Secondly, if OBM (own brand) can be more successful, then they can lower OEM activity, which will boost profitability... so the penetration to Korea and Japan will be very important for this to success... lets wait for Japan to officially launch this product... but still expect at least 1 year for marketing to promote the product...

Kk, i stayed not too far from meru.. Couple months back passed by maxter, decided to go through a small lane to check their back factory... Think no activity like new plant yet... I think they call it plant 12...hopefully should start now...
