Even if govt ask for higher dividend from Petronas, pchem being a listed co would pay a higher dividend to all shareholder including Petronas main Co. Then Petronas itself pays the govt. Although I don't find pchem current price attractive but its still a good company to invest in.

I don't think there's anyone who sells commercially available animal oil fats so I can't comment. I meant that all the market available vegetable oils are bad so just pick the cheapest one from a reputable manufacturer will do. Palm oil is probably more economically viable since it has more output per acre than most other oils but it is facing a strong anti-palm oil lobby.

All vegetable oil is bad. Palm oil is just the cheapest since its produced here. So I use it for at most 2x to 3x.

Rozabil is exiting. They're transfering shares from one company jointly held by Rozabil and Poh to another company owned mainly by Poh. That's what I can see from the transaction.

FGV is exiting the business, could be due to their restructuring efforts. FGV invested in too many unrelated business previously.

Robin bought quite a lot lately. IRIS is originally a traditional Dr M friendly counter and now being bought by son of Dr M good friend Vincent Tan. Could be expecting IRIS turnaround plan and return to glory with more projects coming?

I think got chance this stock get the MyKad contract. IRIS is a pro-Dr M counter.

Why no one privatize and monetize all the asset? This is a value trap like most of Calvin call. Company managed by people who just makan gaji buta.

This company managed quite well. For a construction company, it has good cash flow. Although the recent quarter can see that they didn't manage to collect much for receivable. Still they have enough cash to sustain compared to other cash strapped counters. Good fundamental but construction and property sector quite bad. Their utilities division do look interesting but a small contribution for now.

This company never diversify into new business? Still stay with sunset industry which is hdd? At least they still pay dividend but they are better off utilizing that funds to diversify.

Actually Calvin is right on this. The boss used a lot of margin accounts indirectly held by him. However, the shares were pledged long ago before it ever reached the high prices of the past few years.

Markets don't care about which govt rule or corruption. They care about stability and governance. PH ministers proved themselves to be incapable with a lot of silly policies and market unfriendly statement. They can come up with a lot of creative ideas which are not implemented anywhere in the world.

New govt wanna kill the market off? Previous govt was trying to make Bursa more dynamic and PH govt wanna kill it off. PH govt can just stop the stamp duty exemption for small and mid cap companies next year and charge SST on brokerage fees. That should be enough.

No CGT! If die die want to tax stock market then introduce SST on brokerage charges. GST was charged on brokerage charges, why not charge GST too. I prefer that to CGT.

Depends on what stocks you hold. Make sure it's a fundamentally strong stock with good dividends and popularity.
