apolloang, based on your last comment, you are really ?? you don't even know yewyin is kyy.
I am Koon Yew Yin and I have more than 100 million Jaks shares and my wife has more than 50 million Jaks shares. In the last 2 weeks Jaks went up from Rm 1.45 to close at Rm 1.72, up 27 sen. You can calculate why much money we have gained.
You must really examine your track record to see why you are still so poor. Remember sarcastic people will not be successful in life.

I refer to appolloang's sarcastic comment. Based on that, he cannot be an intelligent investor. After reading my latest article, he still cannot understand the future profit growth prospect of Jaks. He should really examine his track record to know why he is still so poor.
You must remember that accounts only tells you the historical performance of the company but it does not tell you the future performance of the company. To be really successful you must have some business sense.

Many commentators said they sold Hengyuan because the company does not give out any dividend. They must know that Warren Buffet's Berkshire Hathaway also does not give out any dividend and yet its share price continues to go higher. W B said that he could utilise the money more effectively and if any shareholder needed some money he could sell his shares.
The best dividend paying share is Public Bank which offers a yield of about 5%. Remember dividend yield is not the most powerful catalyst to move the share price. It is the profit growth prospect that moves the share price. That is why the share price of Hengyuan continues to go higher and higher.

As I can see a few people are talking about my tax problem which will eventually create confusion. Let me explain.
Income tax officers from KL raided my house in Ipoh about 6 weeks ago and took away a few files. Subsequently, I was told to go to the income tax office in Ipoh to meet the Investigating officer for an interview. He asked many questions and particularly about my share investment. Do I trade everyday? My answer is yes. He said that I could be considered as a professional trader and I had to pay tax.
I said that as far as I know, it is the Government's policy to encourage people to buy listed shares so that our local companies can have more capital to expand their business or industries.
That is why profit from share investment is free from tax. That is why up till now, no one has been charged for not paying tax.
There are millions of people buying and selling of shares on every trading day. Why am I investigated? I was told that the investigating officer got the instruction from higher authorities. The reason is that I openly give financial support to the opposition political parties to kick the corrupted BN Government out of office. The next GE will be the best chance we ever have because Dr Mahathir has formed a political party to gang up with the opposition.
In 1970 our GDP per capita is the same as Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korea. Currently, Singapore is 3.5 times, Tawan and South Korea are 2.5 our GDP per capita despite the fact that all these countries have to import all the essentials like rice, palm old etc. They don't even have timber to build their houses.

A few months ago, I was buying Hengyuan while our local funds were selling which you can see below.
The daily huge volume of 3 or 4 million shares is being bought by Chinese institutional investors. For example, today 4 million shares change hands at Rm 15 = Rm 60 million. Our local funds could be selling.

Can anyone who knows the real person by the pen name Jelas Ulung explain his above comment as I reproduced below. What is IB? It is not logical to sell 15% of the total transaction of Hengyuan amounting to approximately 15% of 2.5 million shares X Rm 14.40 = Rm 5.4 million to pay his staffs and he expects the price to hit 21 within 2 months. If he expects the price of Rm 14 to shoot up to Rm 21 within 2 months, 50% profit within 2 months, he should borrow money from his bank. Can't he get Rm 5.4 million loan from his bank? It looks like hot air!
I would like Jelas Ulung to explain in this forum so that all the readers can understand him better. Koon Yew Yin

More than 15% transactions was done by me today due to 2 reasons :
1. IB forced me to sell as I bought a lot this month , exceeding the limit
2. As mentioned b4 i really ALL-IN my fund and now running out of cash, i need cash to pay bonus to my staffs as committed , and some other operation capital for 2018
Note that i still keeping 90% and expect IB to sell not more than 5% next week. That 5% is just peanut can be easily makan by supporter here :) the remaining one I will keep at least till cny, and if possible I will buy some again early Jan
Really appreciate tips from sifu-sifu here , hopefully can hit 21 within 2 months

Hengyuan's 1st half year EPS was Rm 1.20, 3rd Q was Rm 1.21 and 4th Q ending Dec will be just as good, if not better than its 3rd Q. Its full-year EPS will be more than Rm 3.60.
Can you find another share with such good quality selling at such low P/E?
As you know, it has been going up every day in the last 8 days and the correction today is so mild which is an indication that only small weak holders and short time day traders are selling.
I believe it will continue to go up. I do not need you to buy to push up the price because you do not have so much money. Based on the daily volume, institutional investors are buying aggressively to make me richer. Koon Yew Yin

Ans# to this difficult scenario is to jump down from Petronas twin tower so as to get a realistic freefall bungee jump." shows that he has no manners and very crude. With an attitude like that he cannot succeed in whatever he does. Unless he changed, he will be a failure in life.
If he is so smart, he should write and post a few articles. He should also show how many Hengyuan shares he has bought. Koon Yew Yin

I refer to DK66's comment. Although I have not seen the power purchase agreement (PPA) duly signed by the top officials of the Vietnamese Government, I can safely assume that the 3 Chinese Government Banks must have examined the PPA very carefully before they are prepared to finance the project. If the Jaks and the Chinese JV partner cannot make a profit they will not be able to pay back the banks.
As an investor, I can say that when Jaks make a profit, I will also make a profit because the profit announcement will push up the share price. The banks will also make a profit.
In other words, the Banks are guaranteeing all the shareholders that they will make a profit.
I cannot tell you the difference between this PPA with YTL's PPA because I have not seen any of the two. I do not think you can get a copy of the PPA from Jaks or from the Vietnamese government.
I know all the shareholders are anxiously waiting to see Jaks'profit. All I can say is patience is the key to successful investment. I strongly believe the share price will double when the power plant is completed in about 2 - 2.5 years. It should go higher when Jaks receives more money from the Rm 400 million from the Chinese partners.
One of Warren Buffet's financial tips "Our eyes are placed in front because it is more important to look ahead than look back".

I have the pleasure to respond to all the comments including alexyoong's .
Please go to my blog to read my article "Why I bought into Jaks?" After searching for 6 or 7 years, Jaks finally found the Chinese company which has been involved with about 90% of the coal-fired power plants in China to JV. The consortium of 3 National Bank, after examining the power purchase agreement carefully, they agreed to finance 75% of the total cost of Rm 7.76 billion. The selling price of the electricity depends on the price of coal, depreciation of the plant, profit for the JV company, etc. The banks must make sure that the JV company can make profit, otherwise, they cannot repay the loan.
As far as Jaks is concerned, the company has completely subcontracted the whole project to the Chinese and in return, the company will receive Rm 400 million during the power plant construction and 30% plus 10% option of the company that sells electricity to the Vietnamese Government for 25 years.
As a co-founder of Mudajaya, Gamuda and IJM Corp, I have examined hundreds of contacts before, during my 55 years experience in the contracting business, I have not seen such a juicy power purchase contract or agreement. Jaks with such a small market capitalization can own 40% of the JV company which owns the 1,200 MW power costing Rm 7.76 billion to build. Moreover, Jaks does not need to borrow money to pay for the 40% share of the JV. On top of all that, the consortium of 3 National Chinese Banks guarantees that the JV makes the profit every year for 25 years.
Thatis why my wife and I bought more than 150 million shares.

Time will tell who is right and who is wrong about Jaks. Remember patience is the key to successful investment. Jaks is for long-term investors. Studies have shown that most short-term investors lose money.

If you go to my blog, Koon Yew Yin you can read 2 articles namely "Investors must look at the company's business" and FA & TA can mislead investors in which I pointed out AYS and Masteel are selling building materials for the building construction. There is an oversupply of unsold properties in every town and city in Malaysia. As a result, contractors will not buy building materials. Although Masteel is now showing a fairly good profit, its profit will be reduced in the next few quarters. Just like AYS, many readers do not believe what I said about Masteel. They are angry because they do not want me to discourage people from buying Masteel shares to push the price down.
Only time can tell who is right and who is wrong.

I strongly recommend you to go to my blog to read my 2 articles which are related to the building construction industry namely FA & TA can mislead investors and Investors must look at the company's business.
Being a co- founder of Mudajaya, Gamuda and IJM Corporation I should know about property and building materials businesses.
I see several commentators in this forum are angry with me because they do not like to see that I am discouraging people from buying Masteel shares. They like to think what I said about Masteel is wrong and they are sure of making money. They do not like me to tell people to sell and push the price down.
Only time can tell who is right and who is wrong. I hope I am wrong so that all the angry readers, particularly "aslm" can make money. Judging from aslm's writing, you can know that he is crude and poor. He has not been successful in investing and he is now waiting for Masteel to shoot like a rocket to make a kill.
Just a few months ago I also wrote about AYS which is a building material company and many people including Mr Ooi Teik Bee did not agree with me. Now I see Mr Ooi sold AYS to cut loss. I must say that Mr Ooi has an excellent track record of picking winners by strictly following his method of basing on FA & TA. Unfortunately, his system has misled him to buy AYS.
As I said before, I do not own Masteel shares. My intention for making comments is to prevent people from losing money.
In fact, I should not be making commentaries here as I do not have any Masteel share.
This is my last comment. Good luck to all readers. I hope I am wrong! ! !

My purpose of making comments is to prevent people from losing money in buying Masteel. I do not have any Masteel shares. You cannot ignore the fact that Masteel produces mild and high tensile steel rods for the concrete construction of buildings and infrastructures. There is an oversupply of properties and there will be less building construction. As a result, Masteel's profit will definitely be reduced in the next few quarters.
You must sell Maybank's report today about IJM's difficulty in selling properties and MBSB statement of property supply glut which is affecting their profit.
I have nothing to gain or lose if you buy or sell Masteel shares.

I am Koon Yew Yin and I do not own any Masteel shares. Here is my honest opinion and I have nothing to gain or lose if you buy or sell.
A company's profit depends on several factors such as costs for production, selling price, revenue, competitors etc. Masteel's current good profit indicates that the company has overcome all its obstacles or challenges. But investors must look at the future profit growth prospect.
Yes, the current price of Masteeel's products which are mild and high tensile steel rods for concrete construction is going up but the cost of its raw materials, steel scrapes is also going higher. Moreover, the cost of coke is also going higher. As a result, profit margin will be squeezed.
You cannot dismiss the fact that Masteel's products depend largely on the property market. If properties cannot sell, Masteel profit will be reduced.
You must ask yourselves if next year property sales will improve or not? What about the year after next?
If you believe property prices will go up next year then you should buy some more Masteel shares.
I see many readers are angry with me because they do not like to hear what I said. Only time will tell who is right or wrong. I hope I am wrong so that all the angry readers can make more money.
My intention of making comments on Masteel which I do not own is honest and I like to share my knowledge with whoever is interested. Good luck to those who do not agree with me.

You must be wondering why I am writing at this unearthly hour? I normally sleep for about 4 hours and I take a break for about 1 hour to exercise my brain, then I go back to sleep for about 3 or 4 hours.

Some readers are angry because I pointed out that Masteel's products sale depends mainly on property sales which will be bad every year for the next few years until all the unsold properties are sold. As a result, Masteel's profit will be reduced every year for the next few years until all the unsold properties are sold.
Only stupid investors cannot understand what I said because they cannot see beyond their noses. Clever investors should be selling their shares after reading my comment.
This is what Warren Buffet said Honesty is a very expensive thing, don’t expect it from cheap people. There are always some people who are like fortune tellers offering investment advice. If they are really so good, they should advise themselves and become rich. I often see commentators in I3investor forum advising readers to buy or sell some counters and often they like to boast that they have sold and made a few sens and are waiting to buy back at cheaper prices. What would they do if the price went up? Studies have shown that most day traders and short-term investors lose money.
You must examine your track record. If you have not been successful, you must change your thinking and take my advice.

Masteel's products are mainly for building properties. If contractors and developers cannot sell their properties they will not buy Masteel's products and the company will not report increasing profit.
Shareholders must expect to see lower profit every year for the next few years until all the unsold properties are sold. Do you think the share price can go higher?
You must bear in mind that I have nothing to gain if you buy or sell your shares.

Masteel shareholders must look at the company’s future profit prospect
Koon Yew Yin 27 Nov 2017
All Masteel shareholders are making money on paper because the share price shot up due to the proposed 1 for 3 bonus share issue.
As much as I hate to pour cold water to spoil the enthusiasm and jubilation, I must tell you what I know about the property development business and how it is affecting Masteel and other steel products manufacturers.
Masteel manufactures mild and high tensile steel rods for the concrete construction and property development business.
Following a Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) report warning that unsold residential properties are at a decade-high level, the government has frozen luxury property developments from Nov 1, The New Straits Times reported.
The report quoted Second Finance Minister Johari Abdul Ghani as saying the cabinet decided this after scrutinising the BNM report on the real estate glut.
“The Bank Negara report takes into account high-rise condominiums, shopping malls and commercial units, including those that are valued at more than RM1 million,” he said.
He said the directive temporarily stops development of shopping malls, commercial complexes and condominiums valued above RM1 million until the excess supply is cleared.
If all Masteel shareholders open their eyes, they can see there an oversupply of properties in every town and city in Malaysia.
If property developers cannot sell their development, they would not buy steel rods from Masteel which will definitely affect the company’s profit. But why is Masteel showing good profit?
Masteel’s current good result is due to the late payment by developers and contractors. They could not pay within the 30 days credit limit.
Conclusion: All investors must not only look at the financial and technical analysis, but they must also look at the company’s business. Due to the oversupply of unsold properties, Masteel’s business will be badly affected and its future profit will be reduced which will definitely push down its share price.
Masteel has no profit growth prospect which is the most important share selection criterion.

All investors must read my article " JAKS'1,200 MW power plant site visit in Hanoi, Vietnam" to learn how to make a lot of money. I believe JAKS with the Chinese partners should be able to secure another power plant contract in Vietnam or in Myanmar. Both countries have an abundance of coal and they need electricity badly.
In Yangon, every shop has a diesel generator to provide electricity.
Vietnam is progressing so rapidly that electricity is much needed. Hanoi has a population of 6.5 million people and property prices are more expansive than that in KL. Most of the shops are 10 feet wide and each is selling more than one million USD.

As I said I have been accumulating Hengyuan in the last 3 months until I have exhausted all my funds. Fortunately, it has been going up and up as if it is on auto drive.
I trust my article has helped many readers to make more money. My advice to those who have sold earlier is to buy back quickly before you regret.

Stock: [HENGYUAN]: HENGYUAN REFINING COMPANY BERHAD

As you can see that the share price of Hengyuan fluctuates so wildly and so widely that I am as puzzled as most investors. Its high and low of a day can be more than one Ringgit. As I said before the fantastic rise of Hengyuan from about Rm 2.50 to above Rm 19 within one year, an increase of about 800%, has created history in our local stock market that no one including I have not seen before.
As a result, many people asked for my advice and I told them that I also do not know how to react. Honestly, I have not started selling seriously. My family members and I have a total of more than 20 million shares. Hengyuan is our second largest investment. JAKS is our largest investment.
I consider unfair for the few commentators to say that I have promoted the share by writing so many articles to encourage them to buy and I dump my holdings.
I am not asking you to buy or sell Hengyuan. But if you decide to buy or sell, you are doing it at your own risk as I do not have any share of your profit or loss.
You must bear in mind that when I start to sell, I am not obliged to tell you.
