Bursa Malaysia’s benchmark the FBM KLCI started out the week, also the second half of the year on the negative side, losing 1.94 points to 1,761.73 on continuous selling following a negative breakdown the previous session.

Given the frail sentiment, the market looked set to sustain the downward momentum on lack of support.

Under such a scenario, how did Alcom perform last Friday? The data.analytics:

What does the data tell us?
1. Quoting LPTan68, Alcom is (无法无天了) defying conventional technical limitations and look set to score new high. Investors have better advantage of gains over speculators.
2. Quoting Jefflim1234, the uptrend is still intact and the destination to the "Golden Palace of Alcom," is on track though there may be some cross-winds.
3. The strong buying volume reveals that there are first-time players (missed special dividend) who are hoping to take advantage of the cash repayment.
4. With the buy rate 61.47% and RSI 59.42 @ 1.810, the possibility of new high looks promising.
5. With Alcom peers like LBAlum having its 4QFY17 net profit loss of 76% owing to negligence of underprovision for deferred tax, and impacting losses to shareholders, Alcom may expect new players to leverage on the cash repayment to offset paper loss.

Personally speaking, I look forward to a promising next week starting Monday. I believe Alcom will continue to set new heights of performance. Alcom's uptrend momentum is still strong despite the frail sentiments of the FBM KLCI. This can be seen by the concrete buying volume from 1.760 right up to 1.820.

Kennyku, what you need is good money management. You need to set aside an appropriate amount of capital allocation to go along with the quantity of units you're buying within a certain time horizon.

Ever ask ourselves why it went up so much, we gain so much? Post dividend payout adjustment naturally drop minus 20.5 sen. When market correction sets in, it will also drop. Not to forget other factors are also at work. Therefore if it can go up so much, it can also drop so much. However, when market conditions have normalized and rebound accordingly, the technicals will definitely indicate that it is possible to go up as much as it is destined to be. Alcom is genuine gold, not gold-plated gold. When the time is right, Alcom is going to shine with glistening brilliance again. Be patient, be patient. Time and tide waits for no man, but time and time will also make and mend and be your true friend.

Patience is the name of the game. Impatience is the end of your game. The technicals are beginning to align forces to give RCECAP a new breakout soon.

That's why I've said that Alcom forum is the best I've ever participated in. There are positive-minded people who sincerely share their investing experiences while supporting and encouraging others to win. There is no running down on anybody and everyone is treated with respect.

The_Reds, PlsGiveBonus, Kennyku, My deepest respect to three of you. Courageously honest and taking self-responsibilty for one's investing actions and not blaming anybody for one's dilemma or predicaments. Unrealised paper gain or loss remains at such as long as one doesn't execute actions to buy or sell. Paper loss or gain caused by technical market corrections, readjustments after dividend payout, etc will transform when market trends change.

To this day, 6 July 2017, I can confidently say with utmost certainty that Alcom forum is the best one I've ever participated in since I humbly began my investing journey in 2013. I'm still on a learning curve. I've learnt a lot and benefitted considerably from Alcom forum. One special trait about Alcom is that we welcome all people, old and new to give their views and comments. We even try our best to welcome newcomers like xuewenapeng who may ask the simplest qestions in the most decent way. For Md Abd Fahmi we even went to the extent of translating comments into Bahasa Malaysia to help him. For LPTan68, we also try to "enjoy" his comments in Chinese through innovative means like using Google Translate and apps. Who says we are not as united as before? Do we have to make a declaration to tell the world to prove our unity? Doing such a thing is tantamount to insulting our intelligence. Unity among 兄弟 (brothers) resides in our hearts. We trust and have confidence among ourselves but this doesn't mean we blindly follow other people's views. We do our own due diligence based on information shared but we decide on our willing judgment. We don't blame anybody or others if things turn out against our expectations. We understand the technical lingo of investing and financials but we don't bend its interpretations to suit our conceited, self-righteous perceptions. Instead we use the technical indications to guide us in our investing decisions. We are true to ourselves and to others with no preconceived motives.

Jefflim1234, Yes. I did specifically notice the Disclaimer of Liabilities you consistently append to your comments every time you gave your views. At first, I was wondering why you did that. I guessed that you may be a professional in some sort of industry which necessitates that habitual SOP. Yesterday's happenings had proven its validity when the Disclaimer had pertinently vindicated your stance.

A lot of things had happened yesterday. Though I remained silent, I was closely following the flow of events through the day.
I have always believed that TIME is eternally the best judge of things.
