"Maybank IB said if FGV and the PACs succeed in controlling at least 90% of FGV shares, trading in the counter will be suspended upon expiry of five market days from the offer closing date."
Wow now they are saying 90%. I remember they keep hammering the magic number of 75% to delist the counter.

Mikecyc will you say Felda settlers who bought the shares at RM4 plus a conman too? People deserve to get better price than what is being offered now. And I believe the fair price of FGV share is way above RM1.30 based on fundamental and palm oil price.

Remember the Great Reset agenda will limit food production with their rules and regulation for the Green Technology etc. FGV with land and food crops expertise stands to gain from this.

Crazy what is happening in the US on the GME issue. I hope the effect will spill over to Msia and FGV stock that people revolting to these investment banks that recommended accepting the low offer. Already Felda settlers are confused with conflicting advises given to them like government parties advise them to accept while NGOs etc advise them not too.

Tell me why Felda wants to delist FGV while WSJ is very optimistic of palm oil?

https://www.wsj.com/articles/palm-oil-is-looking-like-a-hands-down-winner-11611225004?mod=searchresults_pos1&page=1

The price of palm oil, used in products from chocolate to toothpaste, is near a decade high and likely to climb further.

In Malaysia and Indonesia, sources of roughly 84% of the world’s palm oil, labor shortages caused by the coronavirus pandemic have reduced production, while major consumers China and India are buying more for cooking and manufacturing. Malaysian stockpiles are at their lowest levels in years.

Former FGV President and CEO said the fair price should be RM1.70-RM1.80.

https://www.bharian.com.my/bisnes/korporat/2021/01/777391/implikasi-fgv-jadi-syarikat-persendirian-wajar-dipertimbang

Sondakh has rebutted allegations that the deal is over-priced stating that shares in Eagle High Plantations were hard to come by and Indonesian plantation companies were not easy to acquire.

The tycoon also denied suggestions that his close relationship with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had helped him with his business ventures in Malaysia.

The Rajawali Group owns the Westin Langkawi Resort and Spa, which it acquired through a tender in 2005. The group also owns the Sheraton Imperial hotel in Kuala Lumpur, which it bought from a local bank.

“Yes, we are friends,” Sondakh said when asked about his relationship with Najib.

The 63-year old billionaire rattled a list of leaders including former US President Bill Clinton and former British Prime Minister John Major that he knew.

“I also know Warren Buffett ,” he said. “I go around in government missions... and so yes I do know Najib. What’s wrong with that?”
