KUALA LUMPUR: Mukhriz Mahathir has disposed of a total of 24.6 million ordinary shares in Opcom Holdings Bhd, ceasing his position as a substantial shareholder of the company, Bursa Malaysia was told today.

In a filing with the stock exchange, Opcom said the disposal was made through two direct business transactions on Feb 10.

Mukhriz’s wife, Norzieta Zakaria, has also ceased to be a substantial shareholder in Opcom after Norzieta’s company, M Ocean Capital Sdn Bhd, disposed of 18 million shares through the open market on Wednesday.

KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 10): The Government has decided to cap the retail prices of RON95 petrol and diesel at RM2.05 and RM2.15 per litre respectively, said Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz.

He said the move was made to protect consumers from the effects of any drastic spike in oil price following the rise in global oil prices.

Tengku Zafrul said the ceiling prices for both products are lower compared with the price cap implemented by the previous government in 2019, which was RM2.08 per litre for RON95 petrol and RM2.18 per litre for diesel.

"The government will cover the difference between the actual market price and the retail price that is set weekly through subsidy allocation.

And it’s bullish, not oxish.

Pakar penyakit berjangkit Dr Adeeba Kamarulzaman membantah cadangan Menteri Kesihatan, Dr Adham Baba agar tempoh kuarantin selama tiga hari bagi menteri mungkin diperluas kepada ahli perniagaan atau orang awam di masa hadapan.

"Saya sama sekali tidak menganggap ini idea yang baik. Lebih baik tak ada kuarantin langsung," kata Adeeba, yang merupakan anggota pasukan petugas pencegahan Covid-19 Selangor (STFC).

Adham berkata penetapan kuarantin selama tiga hari, yang ketika ini hanya dikuatkuasa di kalangan menteri, mungkin akan diperluas bagi membuka sektor ekonomi.

jackyyaya: what happens is A has 1000 shares. B borrows 1000 shares and sells them to C. So now the registered owner of the shares is C. So, when dividend is declared, TG will give the dividend money to C.
However, by convention, A gets to say "Hey I want my dividend!"... and B has to pay A that amount. From his own pocket.
