Brokers and IB's (and also Bursa) are at fault in continuously pushing for higher turnover and profits.What happened in NYSE with the CDO's was a result of this.It is akin to a casino increasing the number of tables(ie remisier/dealer);however when shit happens who takes the fall.And also when markets tank 'the banks take away your umbrella'
It cuts both ways with the clients as well but generally; when there is mutual trust and respect...both makes money.....harmony is the key!!
