malaysia soil is not kukuh.. and always a lot of rain didn't help. development near hillside is really dangerous.. you see batang kali incident. you will know. the soil from that mountain looks like a pile of beach sand.. those trees are just barely hanging on them. mainly pulled down by gravity. there are no rocks or hard soil..

Malaysia hillside developement projects are highly affected by politcians, for the sake of money professionals have no choice to follow what the employers want to cut cost. But the best part, anthorities will follow what politicians instruction. Look at HK terrains much worst than Malaysia (extremely high density), however, HK handle much better. Your comments of malaysia soil is not kukuh has no knowledge of soil mechanics.
