This appears to be a strategy employed by fund managers. After Notion Vtec successfully turned around and delivered strong quarterly results, many fund managers were caught off guard. To avoid missing out, I believe they used short-selling tactics to hedge against a potential price drop. Once the price dipped (as it did last Friday), they could cover their short positions and begin accumulating shares at lower prices. It's important to note that Notion Vtec currently has limited fund manager ownership.

Here's some facts
Esos and warrants could dilute earnings but after looking at the size the impact would not be significant. Fundamentals remain intact the sell down is due to possible forex loss and not due to business turnover. For FY 2024, the 3 Qtrs to-date already earned 9 sen per share. The 4th Qtr is likely to achieve 4 sen per share making it 13 sen per share for FY 2024. Going forward 2025 EPS should be around 20 to 24 sen. But HLIB and Namura pegged a PE of 30 is a little too high. A lower PE of 20 will give Notion a fair price of above 1.80

Overall there will be profit for business operation but the profit is affected by forex. Share price is affected by cash upfront from securities, short selling and most important sentiment. Future is bright due to demand from data center and changes due to 5G and ev trend. Time for self accumulate or helping other to accumulate.

This Co has some similarities with JAKS...also based in Klang n likely some cunning Hokkien Boss (?) as well

The Boss is very good at goreng....but once goreng u will be stuck for years....

From their Annual Report it seems the Boss doesnt hold that much of shares....maybe mostly under nominees....

But the way they goreng is crazy (2020 n 2024)....shot all the way to the sky....geng also...
