Based on chart, Genetec Technology started to move up in prices from mid August last year, when it was merely 13.5 sen. Now, it is back to 12.5/13 sen. It should present a good buying opportunity if you still believe in its potential.

Based on last quarter's result(a loss though), the NTA per share still stood at 18 sen(an improvement of 2 sen over the same period in 2014).

During bad times, prices could overshoot on the downside. But when market turns better, prices will readjust upwards. It is during bad times that we can find value buys.

No, I use my observation. If you monitor the stock movement closely today, you can tell. Theoretically, share consolidation will serve to reduce the market float in terms of no of shares in the market, with a corresponding increase in share price after adjustment. So, investors do not lose out in terms of the aggregate value of shares after adjustment. But investors do not like it as they feel that they have less shares with them. And operator is exploiting on the current bad market sentiment to bring down prices.

I believe 13 sen is a good entry point, given its NTA. But this loophole is already plugged by the operator today as penny stocks are in rebound mode today.

Greed and fear always plague the investors. At 25 sen, people still chase like no tomorrow. But at 13 sen, pp get so fearful. That is why operator always has his days in the market.

If we look at the chart, it does not gap down for no reasons. First, on recent poor quarterly result; Second, on share consolidation. Please state facts by telling us why you will think it will gap down to 10 sen.

no point in arguing coz if u think it will come down to 10c, now is the best time to sell or short the selling . If u think it will go up , think again whether it is still worthwhile to enter given the many lessons u had gone thru? Or just forget about this counter , there r thousands in Bursa that r worthwhile to consider.

Stop imagining all the fear scenarios, if 12.5 sen current support is still not broken. Did you test the market? Do you know what is the average holding cost for the operator? Market is not as simple as we think.

I am not sure to what extent this current price has already factored in all the bad news, given its higher NTA. From now to next quarter is another 2+ months. Market operator will need to correct this oversold situation. So, there could be an oversold bounce for the operator to sell higher when sentiment improves. If we are still less confident of the prospects, then perhaps that is a better time to sell than now.

Just my personal view.
