What do you expect? Bolehland's heads of institutions be they PDRM (Royal Malaysian Police), the military, Attorney-General’s Chambers or the judiciary are all appointed by their political masters.
At that wee hours in the morning, the poor guys on radar duty would be scolded if they dared to wake up their bosses for instructions.
In any event, I bet our fighter jets may not be airworthy. For all you know their engines might have been stolen and sold to some African countries and genuine parts are substituted by fake parts to enrich cronies in this corrupt Bolehland.
I guess the Malaysian Air Force was busy preparing to deliver the Air Force votes for the Kajang by-election when they saw MH370 crossing into the Strait of Malacca on their radar.
Umno bodohkan Melayu, kata Dr Siti Mariah K Pragalath | March 18, 2014
Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud turut mendakwa bahawa Umno kin mengaplikasi sentimen perkauman.
Hanya 541 undi rosak direkodkan.
‘Why are you upset with me, Shahrizat?’ K Pragalath | March 18, 2014
The PKR president says that her decision to contest in the Kajang by-election was triggered by the injustice meted out to her husband.
shahrizatKAJANG: PKR president Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has queried Umno Wanita chief Shahrizat Abdul Jalil on why the latter was so upset with the former’s candidacy in the Kajang by-election
“Why is she vexed with my nomination? As a woman I can contest in any seat, so can Shahrizat. That is why she is the (Umno Wanita) wing chief,” said Wan Azizah at a DAP organised ceramah in Sungai Dua last night.
On Sunday, Shahrizat had accused Wan Azizah of being PKR supremo Anwar Ibrahim’s tool to hold on to power at any cost, including at the expense of victimising Kajang voters.
“When she (Wan Azizah) was Permatang Pauh MP, she was forced to resign due to Anwar’s political greed. She was used as a tool then and now again in Kajang. It is the Kajang voters who are being victimised,” Shahrizat was reported as saying.
Defending her nomination in Kajang, Wan Azizah said that her decision to run for the by-election stemmed from the injustice meted to her husband and others.
“We fight based on issues. I am here because of the injustice. My husband (Anwar) was wrongfully sentenced.
“There have been injustices against (DAP parliamentary chief) Lim Kit Siang and (DAP secretary general) Lim Guan Eng. I am here to fight for all Malaysians,” she said.
Earlier this month, the Court of Appeal overturned a High Court acquittal and slapped Anwar with five years jail time for sodomising his former aide, Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan.
The Permatang Pauh MP had since posted bail and filed an appeal at the Federal Court.
Taking a swipe at Shahrizat, Wan Azizah queried the supposed ignorance of the former minister on her family’s involvement in the National Feedlot Corporation (NFCorp) scandal in 2011.
Shahrizat’s husband, Mohamed Salleh Ismail is the executive chairman for the company while her children are also listed as board members.
During the hearing of the case in 2012, Shahrizat testified that she had no knowledge of her husband and children’s activities in the scandal ridden venture.
“How come she had no clue on what her husband and her kids were doing in NFCorp?,” Azizah questioned.
Wan Azizah would be facing MCA vice-president Chew Mei Fun in the March 23 state seat by-election.
The state seat comprises 39,728 registered voters. At the last general election in May 2013, the seat saw a voter turnout of 87.9% with 541 spoilt votes.
PKR has urged Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to put aside politicking and let opposition lawmakers work with the government on the MH370 crisis.
Calling it the right democratic and transparent government practice, PKR vice-president N Surendran said that Najib should meet with opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim to safeguard national interest and fend of flak from foreign media.
As the search and rescue operation enters its second week, more and more countries were involved, thanks to Malaysia’s incompetency, uncertainties, contradictories and whatnot. Malaysians who are used to such government’s culture are actually surprised that the world communities were “surprised” with Malaysian present regime’s SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) in handling issues or crisis.
For more than 50-years, such culture was indoctrinated by UMNO, a political party which decides “yes” or “no” within Barisan Nasional coalition. If not for this MH370 crisis, international communities would not know the true colour of the present regime. But even if they knew, would they really care? Nope, as long as foreign citizens do not get killed, nobody would make a fuss about the present regime. Anyway, welcome to Malaysia !!
The failure of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) to defend its own pilots is disgraceful. The reputations of MH370 Captain Zaharie Ahmad Shah and co-pilot Fariq Abdul Hamid are being dragged through the mud, but MAS cannot or will not come to their defence. Why?
MAS pilots are professionals and have gone through rigorous selection, training and regular evaluation. The pilots’ political beliefs have no bearing on their professionalism.
So, when Najib Abdul Razak’s administration made Zaharie (right) a scapegoat, and the MAS CEO failed to support his pilots, the confidence of MAS employees, potential investors and airline customers was severely shaken.
There was no evidence against Zaharie. The authorities were grasping at straws. They used recycled theories, gleaned from various sources, to hurl accusations at the pilots.
Despite this, MAS did not issue any statement to contradict the views of the authorities. If the Malaysian government thinks nothing is damaged, then they are even more stupid than is thought capable. Every MAS employee probably believes that MAS refuses to protect loyal staff and is quite prepared to dump them when things get turbulent. MAS have failed the families of Zaharie and Fariq.
Najib’s forte is dabbling in propaganda. His public relations team have used Zaharie’s political leanings, towards the opposition, to link Anwar Ibrahim with MH370’s disappearance. A photo of Zaharie wearing a T-shirt with the words ‘Democracy is Dead’ printed on it, has gone viral. This is not evidence.
Why is there no focus on the Iranians and their forged passports? Why should we accept, at face value, the assertion that the two Iranians, who entered on their Iranian passports but exited on European Community (EC) passports, have no ulterior motive? If the plane is being kept in storage, the passengers and crew will doubtless, be considered, collateral damage.
The passenger manifest lists 20 communications contractors, who work for a defence company in China. Are they being scrutinised? What about the people who checked-in but failed to board the plane? What explanation is there for the Australian, who left his wedding ring behind in case he did not return? Who else on the list has a background which deserves closer examination?
The silence of the MAS CEO, its senior management, other MAS pilots, the union of flight attendants and other MAS employees shows two things and exposes another. They are afraid to speak-out and are only interested in protecting themselves. The lack of support has inadvertently exposed the iron grip which the authorities have on MAS’ senior management. Staff morale and productivity will be affected.
MAS’ safety record is enviable. Its pilots are some of the best qualified and its cabin crews are the recipients of many awards. Why should the presence of a flight simulator at Zaharie’s house be evidence that he is capable of hijacking an aeroplane? Does that mean that serious computer geeks will break into the defence systems of a nation and threaten the nation’s security?
A substantial number of people in the airline industry have a flight simulator at home but that does not mean they are potential hijackers. MAS and the authorities have forgotten that flight simulators are built or acquired because the people are passionate about their hobbies.
No proper coordination
Najib’s administration uses old news and regurgitated facts to spin storylines to discredit Anwar and his coalition. The press conferences with Najib are a farce, in which questions may not be asked. There is no official spokesperson, no proper crisis management team, no proper coordination and the PM has been relegated to the role of spokesman. Najib reads from a prepared script.
The military has shown its incompetence. When MH370 disengaged itself from radar control and another plane popped up in Malaysian air space, why did the air force not scramble a plane to find out the identity of the possible intruder? Did an air force plane take off and shoot down MH370? Is that the secret that Najib is hiding from the world?
Any new information trickles through and takes hours to materialise. We would like to believe that the delay is because staff have to sift the information, and eliminate red herrings. One would expect the information to be newsworthy but we have noticed many retractions and contradictory statements. Najib’s men often fail to quote the source, verify the facts or check the veracity of the information.
Is it any wonder that people suspect that Najib’s administration is withholding something? People have begun to disbelieve him. He is not seen as an authoritative figure but like his ministers, is seen as a bumbling amateur. Foreign governments have accused Najib of obfuscation. We are not shocked. This is the modus operandi of Umno Baru which has been 57 years in the making.
Foreign governments and institutions like Interpol have said that Malaysia has refused to share information. In times of crisis, and when 239 lives are at risk, some conditions should be waived. Does Najib not realise that the loss of MH370 is a humanitarian crisis? Don’t the families of MH370 deserve better?
Najib and his men have been accused of withholding vital information, thus prompting governments of neighbouring countries to suspend the search and rescue missions. The irony is that the disappearance of MH370 may precipitate the fall from power of Najib and his administration.
UPDATE: A local daily reported that investigations into the flight simulator taken from the missing pilot's home showed a software for five practice runaways, including Diego Garcia, which belongs to the United States. Get details here: http://bit.ly/1lJrBPx
MH370: the unanswered questions MH370: Why experts are baffled by the disappearance of the Malaysian Airways flight The Guardian, Monday 17 March 2014 18.41 GMT
More than a week after the disappearance of Malaysian Airlines flight MH370, an ever-increasing number of questions remain unanswered or partly explained.
• Why did no passengers or cabin crew make mobile calls if they realised the plane was off course?
Experts say calls can be made even at high altitude. "It is theoretically possible," said Dan Warren, senior director of technology at the GSM Association. "It would depend on the spectrum range you're in with your phone. It also depends on the power output of the cell itself.
It would also depend on the landmass and network they were flying over, and the roaming agreement of the various network operators. There's not really a clear cut answer.""
If a plane were to fly over the sea, he added, mobile contact would soon stop: "It wouldn't take very long to lose any kind of phone signal. It would depend on altitude and the direction you were flying in."
Some planes have systems to enable passengers to make calls using a satellite link, but it is not thought to have been fitted in the Boeing 777.
• What role could have been played by reinforced cockpit doors?
Since 9/11 airliners have been fitted with strengthened flight deck doors, intended to prevent intruders from taking control. If whoever took control of the plane barricaded themselves in there would be little others on the plane could do, said Professor David Allerton of the University of Sheffield. "They're designed to be impregnable, so six terrorists can't kick it down. They're steel reinforced, with a solid locking mechanism. The assumption is you'd always have two or three people on the flight deck and they wouldn't all go mad."
The doors are often opened, for example, to pass food to the pilots. Last week photographs emerged of the co-pilot of flight MH370 entertaining teenage tourists in an aircraft cockpit during a previous flight.
• Why do Malaysian officials seemingly think the plane's Acars communications system was deliberately turned off?
It is hard to say. Unlike transponders Acars is optional, according to Inmarsat, the satellite company on whose network it is hosted. "Because Acars is not mandatory for all airliners it's therefore not universally set up in the same way," said David Coiley, Inmsarat's vice-president for aviation. "If it was turned off it might send different messages to the ground, depending on the setup."
The intermittent signals to satellites by which investigators have determined the plane flew on for some hours are part of the core Inmarsat system, on to which Acars is attached. Such signals, known as "heartbeat messages", are a standby mode to check the plane is still logged into the satellite network.
• Could the plane have lost pressure?
There are examples of planes flying for hours before running out of fuel after cabin depressurisation left the flight crew unconscious. In 2005, 121 people died when a Cypriot airliner crashed into a mountain after the crew seemingly ignored or misunderstood warnings about cabin pressure.
A gradual loss of cabin pressure can be hard to notice, said Allerton: "Military pilots are trained to detect hypoxia, but generally civilian pilots aren't. It's a very insidious thing, you might not realise at the time it's happening to you, and by the time you've realised it's too late, as you're dopey."
The fact the plane appeared to deliberately change course, with the transponder and other communications turned off, make this appear unlikely.
• How can a plane disappear?
Allerton said the main issue appeared to have been the lack of reaction on the ground. "If this had happened in Europe or North America within a few tens of minutes people would have worked out there was something very strange going on, and they would have done something, for example scramble aircraft. If you lose communication with an aircraft, and certainly if you lose its transponder returns, you assume something quite bad has happened. It doesn't seem to me that the Malaysian authorities were very responsive to what was happening in their airspace. When you ask: 'How could this happen?', if the air traffic controllers haven't been monitoring things very closely then it would be seven hours before somebody realised it hadn't got there."
Whizzkid, lest you forget. There are also security issues that a government in power has to contend with. It cannot simply share with all n sundry all kinds of information under the sun. Even during a time of national tragedy like this.
It's darn easy to succumb to the temptation to open your house to total scrutiny by a helpful stranger after a domestic crisis, but then there you go. You know what the US, just for instance, is like. It even taps the phones of the national leaders of its European allies. Then, when they rise in outrageous uproar, the US simply shrugs it off pleading US security as a a flippant excuse.
And please lah STUPID MINISTERS, learn how to conduct a PROPER International Press Conferrence, with only ONE official Spokesperson.
Be Professional. Simply CHAIR the Press Conferrence and LET the Representatives from BEA France, Boeing and Rolls Royce sit down and speak for themSELVES and be open for questioning to the public and the press.
People want to hear and SEE the PRO's speak...not see YOU guys and hear the BOZOs speak! BODOH punya BN Government Ministers!
We were fortunate that whoever was in command of the plane when MH370 turned back did not head towards Kuala Lumpur.
It will be too late for those to take action when all it needed was less than one hour to smash into the Kuala Lumpur City Centre (Twin Towers). Someone must be held responsible for sleeping on the job.
Intensive background checks of everyone aboard a missing Malaysian jetliner have so far failed to find anyone with a known political or criminal motive to crash or hijack the plane, Western security sources and Chinese authorities said.
Malaysia said it had conferred with the US and Chinese ministers on the search for Malaysian Airlines Flight MH370, an unprecedented 26-nation operation that now spans Asia from the Caspian Sea to the southern Indian Ocean.
Mayb our "toothless" minister work smart by inviting the other International partners on the panel to deal with Press Conf and at least it looks more like a "International" challenges & for sure carry more respect from the International community mahhhh
Dreamhunter, what national security that cannot share radar info and now can share after 7 days?? What utter rubbish......in the first place if they can share why on 3 occasion the plot appear on the military radar and come clean it would be easier instead of giving excuses......Why now can share?.
Brother Saturn101, this below says it all. I presume all UMNO supporters are idiots or just cannot think or they are totally blind.. Now look below...
NOW YOU CAN FLY.......INTO MALAYSIA UNDETECTED

hope khazanah would find a buyer for mas shares soon... at such low price level, so embarassing for everyone... it was reported by one analyst that khazanah may want 60sen or higher per mas share... haha
hahahah .. the order has been given out to the red bean to exploit the MH370 tragedy lor. All has been brief and ask to attack every forum. Beware dreamhunter ... usually if any lost the argument, he will send an SOS to ask more to come and help lor. U better stop arguing with these army and focus on investment mar. Logic is not their bowl of rice. They got one mission onli. Cheers !
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
