Personally I think, for long term investor this is good time to slowly accumulated. Such a good fundamental, the current low price can't hold very long.
I have Kfima for more than 3 years and I have changed the way dealing with it,sell some when it is high and buy back when it drops, unfortunately this round I thought it could go slightly further I didn't clear some, what a waste.
Oldman, I still treat Kfima as a long term investment the selling and buying of portion of it is to get some cash during the price movement.BTW my best performing stocks may be overvalued now , some of them are Huayang, Multico,Tanbun,Amprop and Kimlun, I have reduced the holding now and only keeping small portion of them.
Posted by aunloke > Jun 4, 2013 01:22 PM | Report Abuse tony, I agree with you ,it's my worst performing stock,16% gain in more than 3 years.
aunloke, 16% return for your Kfima held for 3 years? How you calculate your return one? I have Kfima for 3 years also but my return is more than 100%. Is your Kfima different stock from mine?
Then you are not talking about bought Kfima three years ago and held it for three years and get a return of 16%. You are talking about starting to buy Kfima three years ago, average it up for the last three years to 1.70. But still you have not accounted for the dividends.
When we talk about return, we should talk about total return which includes dividend plus share price appreciation. Dividend in many companies form a big portion of the total return.
The adjusted price of Kfima three years ago is about RM1.00 per share. So at this price 2.10 now, the return is 110%. Why your difference is so big at 16% or 17% only?
US market drop see what happens today, bottom line if you make profit or suffer a bit of loss you may lock in profit or cut your losses or if your entry point is too low you can hold and enjoy the dividend, this is my opinion and everybody have their own taste.
Strictly speaking I shouldn't say it's a return for 3 years for some of them was added later, and inclusive of three times div. it should be about 30% gain. You see when I was writing it I forgot about the div.and the 16% just coming out from my rough estimate. As for your cost of about 1,00 you must have bought the stock a few month before me. Anyway thanks for your correction and let's cheer for Kfima as I still have hope for it to achieve a better price.
Pradeep I know that you and I and a few others are longtime holders of Kfima, do have faith in it even DOW suffers a big loss the value of Kfima remains the same let alone improve.

This is what I like, total issue share is only 270+ mils and all the bosses are holding around 70%+, institutions holding another 10-15%, so share available in the open market is not that much. So, when it want to fly, it will be very fast.
