In.Malaysia , the minister and some holier than thou local NGO seems to be.happy with CBP.ban on Topglove indefintely. They failed to see the doubke standard and.hypocrisy of the US government. Nike and other US companies had worsed labour abuses like.child labour in Bangldesh and extremely low.wages in.myamar and cambodia but did US government.ban.Nike products ? Some of the commentators in i3 are.also happy with the CBP bans but close their eyes on US companies abuses in other countries.

I personally suffer this 20% loss from glove counter, but I trust my holding power, unless something very bad happen (TG delisted, SUPERMX bankrupt, blablablabla), I will no sell it, but I admit that I may enter at no a really good price level. This is what I learn from Bitcoin, Bitcoin also dump 50-60%, people also laugh at Bitcoin going to ZERO, but people still buying it, samething to TOPGLOVE SUPERMAX.

Actually Uplanet, it doesn't matter if the US expansion worked out or not. If it does, then the future of Supermax should be more positive bcos of higher OGM potentials. It it doesn't then the extra cash in hand could lead to better dividend payout. So either way doesn't really matter.

For OEM manufacturer, more difficult to resolve with their customers. For OBM Supermax, can still purchase from other oversea OEM manufacturer to cover for any short fall.

Terrian, u use wrong example to illustrate a different issue altogether. This forum is infested with so many fearmongrels barking everyday its not for the faint hearted. If cannot take the heat better get out of the wok. Stock market is a dog eat dog place. If u want a place where ppl are nice and supportive go to church not come here. The following paragraphs are extracted from Am Investment Bank report today. The research house has turned bearish about the future glove demand, which I don't necessarily agree. But it's still good to consider its contrarian view from Margma and Frost & Sullivan.

"Post-pandemic demand projections are still overblown. We believe that the first post-pandemic year will see a flattish to negative growth in glove demand, as opposed to steady growth projections by Frost & Sullivan and MARGMA. This remains intact, as the expected fall in Covid-19 cases is postponed rather than cancelled.

We maintain our view that lasting glove demand is not so much driven by a blanket “paradigm shift” brought about by increased healthcare awareness. Instead, it is driven by more organic sociopolitical and legal structural issues such as healthcare outreach, enforceability of glove mandates as well as medical malpractice laws. These imply a slower and more gradual growth than current demand projections."

Observatory, its too premature to talk about post-pandemic numbers at the moment. Looking at the way rate the global daily cases are surging now, we may be looking at crossing the 1mil new daily cases mark very soon, likely by August. At the same time hospitalization and death would be increasing exponentially too. We maybe only halfway into the pandemic and the worst is yet to come.
