Margma said global demand for gloves in 2021 was expected to remain at 420 billion pieces
15% demand growth in 2022 = 480Bil
Global demand 2022 480Bil MY production 2022 320Bil IntCo production 2022 130Bil
Glove shortage doesnt mean can maintain high ASP..2022 glove shortage 30Bil (just from MY/IntCo production) - even less than 2019 shortage 40Bil..havent include production from EU/Thai
With lower shortage in 2022 than 2019, only logical ASP return to pre-pandemic level
Prepandemic ASP = prepandemic profit = prepandemic price (65sen)
@monetary Latest net short position TG 2.7 SP 2.42. Apparently short is covered without significant price change. 13/07/2021 5:30 PM
That's why all retailers/bag holders must hold tight tight and don't cut loss at this cheap price or sell for nasi lemak profit. Those with long haul capacity should continue to nibble as the price dip and hold. Don't give chance to the shortists to cover back cheaply. Hold till >5.0. Better days for Supermax is just around the corner. Coming QR net profit will be around RM 1,000,000,000.00 . How many company can earn that around this time?
With the Delta variant ravaging the whole world now and newer more powerful variants will inevitably appear in coming months that will escape the vaccines, More countries and wider demographic of population will be seriously affected with record hospitalization and death. T he glove demand will increase and shortage will become more acute, even with new players coming in will not affect the ASP very much in the next 2-3 years. Supermax will continue to earn supernormal profits for the next 8 qtrs.
WHO says world nowhere near through worst of COVID and tells UK 'it's too early for massive relaxation' ---------------------------------------------------------------------- WHO just confirmed what I have been saying all along, that the worst is yet to come. The naysayers who keep saying the pandemic will be over soon this year, are you more expert than WHO?
A 'tidal wave' coming toward unvaccinated Americans The rate of infection among unvaccinated Americans is so much higher, CNN Medical Analyst Sanjay Gupta said Monday, that America will soon more from a divide between vaccinated and unvaccinated populations to vaccinated and infected.
n St. Louis County, Missouri, officials said new cases have increased by 63% over the past two weeks, and County Executive Sam Page said, "a tidal wave is coming towards our unvaccinated populations." Covid-19 related hospital admissions rates increased by 36% over the past two weeks in the St. Louis metro area, according to a report from the St. Louis County Public Health Department. "This variant is spreading quickly, and this variant has the ability to devastate those in its wake, and that is why it is so critical to get vaccinated now," Page said. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Covid Tsunami is going to hit US soon in the States with low vaccination rates.
A WHO scientist has said watching unmasked crowds singing and shouting at the Euro 2020 football final in London on Sunday was “devastating”, and expressed concerns that it would spur Covid-19 transmission, including of the Delta variant ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Some naysayers here are more expert than WHO, saying Western countries now can go back to normal life with stadium full of crowds without mask and gloves.
As the Delta variant rapidly spreads, US hotspots have seen climbing cases -- and an expert warns a "surprising amount" of Covid-19 deaths could soon follow.
The US is averaging about 19,455 new cases over the last seven days, a 47% increase from the week prior, according to data from Johns Hopkins University. And a third of those, CNN Medical Analyst Dr. Jonathan Reiner said, come from five hotspots: Florida, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri and Nevada.
"In places like Missouri where ICUs are packed, you're going to see a surprising amount of death," Reiner said on Sunday.
At Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Missouri, 91% of ICU patients are on ventilators and many are in their 20s, 30s and 40s, Chief Administrative Officer Erik Frederick told CNN Saturday. That is especially concerning, he said, because at the peak last year there were only 40 to 50% of ICU patients on ventilators. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Many 20,30 & 40yrs are on ventilators. This is how serious Delta is. In coming months things will get much worse in US. Covid tsunami gonna hit US soon.
Yup Beary, I think its not so much of they "purposely", but due to no choice , bcos most Gov'ts have been going to one extreme to lockdown for too long, resulting in too much economic damages. So now with some of the population having vaccinated, there's a need to find a middle ground to balance between life and economy while slowly moving towards herd immunity, to allow for some economic recovery. Unfortunately, in the process, some lives have to be sacrificed, either due to individual weakness or overburdened hospitals facilities.
This book is the result of the author's many years of experience and observation throughout his 26 years in the stockbroking industry. It was written for general public to learn to invest based on facts and not on fantasies or hearsay....
