"What is also interesting is their observation that while purchases by insiders may flag “buy” signals, their sales may not offer a significant “sell” signal.
They said: “Insiders have many reasons to sell shares but the main reason to buy shares is to make money. Only insider purchases appear to be useful, while sales are not associated with low returns.”
As to why insider sales are not as good an indicator, they explained that in recent years, a higher percentage of managers’ wealth is tied to their companies’ stocks in the form of stock options and performance shares.
And that could skew the “sell” signal, as a lot of the selling could be due to the managers diversifying their stock holdings – rather than any corporate-related activities."
want to ask. there are 6 announcement on bursa. but overall it is IR OKA & MADAM QUAH SEOK KENG both sold 12,100+87,900 unit right? why bursa send out so many similar announcement?
We remain positive on OKA Corp’s prospects, driven by its well-established position as a precast concrete manufacturer with various manufacturing plants located throughout West Malaysia and continuous efforts in diversifying its products. We believe that the group’s bottomline may grow progressively, as we expect higher demand from local infrastructure projects while cost saving measures are being implemented. Maintain BUY with a higher TP of MYR2.10 (from MYR1.84 14% upside), based on a higher 12x (from 11x) FY18F P/E.
Bsngpg...Ronie Tan is another savvy investor I look out for in Annual Reports..some of his other holdings include RCE Cap, Hevea, PetronM, Dufu, Latitude, MMSV, Mycron, Poh Huat and many more..
