Local News/Stocks Highlights SapuraKencana (SAKP MK. FV RM5.61, BUY), which is currently bidding for US7bn worth of projects, will be actively executing its orderbook in 2014. Besides bidding for more projects in Brazil, the group will also bid actively in Africa for drilling business and continue to focus on Mexico.
Sarawak Cable (SRCB MK), via it’s JV with Sinohydro Corp, has secured a 500kV transmission backbone project worth RM619m from Sarawak Energy. The project is expected to be completed in the 1Q16.
Airsia (AIRA MK, Buy, FV: MYR3.08) - AirAsia Bhd has told Bursa Malaysia that it is proposing to buy up to 10% of its issued and paid-up share capital at any point in time. The proposed share buyback, if implemented, will enable AirAsia and its subsidiaries to utilise any of its surplus financial resources, which are not immediately required for other uses, to purchase its own shares from the market.
Mulpha Land (MGP MK) is selling a 12-unit apartment, Raintree Residence, in KL to the government of Iran for RM34.3m cash. The group will book in a net gain of RM13.8m.
