KUALA LUMPUR: Perisai Petroleum Teknologi Bhd's shares rose 3.39 per cent or three sen today after securing the US$40 million bareboat charter contract yesterday.
As at 11.24 am, the company's shares stood at RM9.15 with 2.92 million shares traded.
Three major research houses have recommended a "buy" call on Perisai Petroleum following news that the company has secured a contract for the charter of Intan Group's eight offshore support vessels for three years.
"The charter agreements are for a fixed three-year charter period effective Sept 1, 2012 and the daily hire rate is US$36,630," said Perisai Petroleum in a filing to Bursa Malaysia. -- BERNAMA
