KUALA LUMPUR: Gamuda Bhd has announced that the new offers to Perbadanan Kemajuan Negeri Selangor (PKNS) and Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) to acquire their respective entire equity interest in Kesas Holdings Bhd was closed at 5 pm today.
In a filing to Bursa Malaysia today, Gamuda, through CIMB Investment Bank Bhd, said no further extension had been granted.
"As at 5 pm, Gamuda has received acceptance from PNB in relation to the new offers. Full details of the transaction will be announced after the relevant sale and purchase agreements have been signed," it said.
On Dec 23, Gamuda revised the offer price upward to RM980 million from RM875 million previously to acquire the remaining 70 per cent shares in Kesas Holdings not owned by the company.
Out of three parties, namely Amcorp Properties Bhd, PKNS and PNB, two -- Amcorp Properties and PNB -- have already accepted the offers, which would raise the total shares of Kesas Holdings held by Gamuda to 70 per cent upon transaction from 30 per cent currently. -- Bernama
