Business as Usual at Bursa Malaysia

We wish to inform that an additional staff member at Bursa Malaysia Berhad ("Bursa Malaysia" or the "Exchange") has tested positive for COVID-19. This brings the total number of positive COVID-19 cases at the Exchange to three.

Detailed contact tracing and deep sanitization work has been carried out at the Exchange. As per the Ministry of Health ("MOH") guidelines, all Bursa Malaysia staff who have come into contact with the positive case will self-quarantine and undergo medical screening to ensure they are healthy before returning to work.

We are pleased to update that staff who were in direct contact with the first two reported positive cases have all tested negative for COVID-19.

We would also like to assure that the stock exchange is operating as normal. There is no disruption to our critical and support functions of the Exchange, and our Business Continuity Management plan is in place to ensure the smooth functioning of our operations in the event of such incidents.

We will continue to work closely with the authorities to ensure that all applicable protocols are adhered to ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees.

We will continue to monitor the developments closely and provide updates as new information becomes available.

This gomen is just buying time to stay in power while capitalising on the pandemic by curtailing freedom of the people.

For one whole year should have given them enough experience on how to handle it but they just laidback and happily announced all sorts of MCO at the last moment, typical of laidback workforce.
