LB Aluminium Bhd has reported its net profit to have increased 81% year-on-year for the second quarter ended Oct 31, 2022, thanks to higher average selling prices and improved margin in its aluminium products segment.

Accumulate some.. good dividend yield and new sector business properties return also good.

Aluminum counters got chance due to increasing high demand construction and electric car. Recent QR both revenue and profit performing well. Also, LBALUM golden cross appeared and aluminum price goes up steadily recently. I think got chance to go up further.

Aluminium is the next best metal type to buy because it is used to make electric car battery. Biden also is planning to put tariffs on aluminium imports thus increasing price. This helps Lbaluminium to sell at higher prices thus increasing their EPS and I believe before April end will reach 54 cents and by June will be well above 60. This is the next best thing as aluminium is more in demand due to increase adoption of ev vehicles in Asia.

Aluminum price per tonne is USD 2639.00 up USD 22. Average aluminium price from NOV2023-JAN2024(Latest QR of LBALUM) was around USD2230 per tonne. Expected good QR is coming.

LBALUM is an Aluminum company not the steel company. Aluminum companies, all benefit from high aluminum price due to high demand and lesser supply. Steel supply is more than the demand, so the steel price drops.

Property business should be improved as the customer payment is according to the progress of the construction of the property. Now, the project is still under construction. Anyway, LBalum major business is still in Aluminum.

Aluminum is the effective cooling material that used widely in modern car esp electric car. Now, it is also used in data centre as cooling material.

1.If you have been holding LB, congratulation. Tomorrow is the dividend ex date for 2.5sen. It would be unwittingly wasteful to dispose after having come this far.
2.In addition, the company has announced its 1st quarter result that is correspondingly and comparatively impressive.
Hopefully. the result could sustain the raising share price.

The company's property business is getting matured as they are new as a property developer in the market. No doubt SASaR is a government project, looks like the management have strong connection with government department and with success of SASaR project, the company will continue to secure more government's housing projects in the future.

Malaysia's Aluminum Stocks Rise After China Ends Export-Tax Rebate

Shares of Malaysian aluminum companies rose after China's finance ministry said it would end an export-tax rebate for the base metal.
Shares of Press Metal Aluminium--the Southeast Asian nation's biggest aluminum company--climbed 6.8% to 4.7 ringgit, equivalent to $1.05, in Monday morning trade. Shares of peer LB Aluminium rose 6.4%. The benchmark Kuala Lumpur Composite Index was 0.4% higher at 1598.82.
China said Friday that it will end its tax rebate policy on a wide range of products and commodities, including for aluminum and copper, starting Dec. 1.
The removal of the rebates is expected to raise the global cost of Chinese aluminum, potentially reducing export volumes in the near term, ING analysts Ewa Manthey and Inga Fechner said in a note.
The move could lead to a shift in trade dynamics, driving countries reliant on Chinese aluminum to seek alternatives amid limited global production capacity, the ING analysts said. "The global aluminum market is expected to return to deficit from 2026," they added.
China, the world's largest producer of aluminum, introduced export-tax rebates in 1985 to enhance global competitiveness for its products and attract global buyers, they said.
