KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 11): Censof Holdings Bhd has secured a RM9.46 million contract from the Road Transport Department (JPJ) for the maintenance, verification and calibration services of 48 weighing instruments at enforcement stations.
The three-year contract expires in December 2026, with no option for extension upon expiry, the financial management software solutions provider said in a bourse filing on Monday.
The group said the contract is anticipated to have a positive impact on its earnings and net assets for the financial year ending March 31, 2024 (FY2024) and beyond.
For 2QFY2024, Censof’s net profit rose 80.32% to RM2.08 million from RM1.15 million a year earlier, primarily due to strong growth in revenue for the wealth management solution, digital technology, and financial management solution segments. Quarterly revenue increased 19.6% to RM25.33 million, from RM21.18 million.
For the first half of FY2024, the group’s net profit was down 33.4% to RM957,000, from RM1.43 million in the previous corresponding period, attributed to an increase in operating expenses. Revenue increased 10.3% to RM45.75 million, from RM41.47 million.
Shares in Censof settled one sen or 4.65% higher at 22 sen on Monday, giving the group a market capitalisation of RM121.44 million.
