BUSAN: A eight-meter-deep sinkhole occurred on the road in Busan, South Korea, on Saturday (September 21) amid heavy rain, causing two trucks to fall into it, local media reported.
A large sinkhole of about 10 meters wide, five meters long, and eight meters deep occurred on a road in Sasang-gu, Busan, at around 8.45am (2345GMT on September 20), Yonhap News Television reported, quoting the Busan Metropolitan City Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
The sinkhole caused the Busan Fire Department's drainage vehicle to fall into it, and another truck that was passing by also fell into the hole when heavy rain of more than 200mm was pouring onto the city, Yonhap said.
Fire officials said there were no casualties in the accident and the local authorities are investigating the exact cause of the sinkhole.
