Share price oscillates along that line.
Above is over price.
Below is under price.

In the quest to improving tactical skill, lets look at the above.
Intrinsic value, oscillates........weapon of choice of value investors.
Investing 101, easy to understand, popular with teachers
But....what happens when calculate intrinsic value
is the source of all pains?
maybe even the source of all mistakes?
the thing that becomes got eyes no see....
almost by definition....all so called value investors only see one version of the truth.....it is almost by definition......

When it oscillates down there, you have fear of the unknowns, when it oscillates up there, you have Fear of Missing Out.........no help.
In a year of tax cuts, economy running on all cylinders, Wall Street DJIA is trading at year lows. The fastest shrinkage of projected PE ratios in memory with declining prices and expanding earnings. A real delemma for value investors, An enigmas for the oscillators.
A better approach
me? I try to scan every thing, accept every trend, I make no opinion that is inflexible....I know there are limits to know every thing. ..I know there is no such thing as intrinsic values (unless u want to take over the company, control the company).
I trust my observations.....that is the only thing I have .....its my business sense vs the rest of the world.....
While th concept of intrinsic values is questionable....... at any time, there is such a thing as relative valuations...... everybody loves comparing, that is how our brain works.
that is why nothing beats a broad scan, the big picture, relative trends and group dynamics.......
My approach....too many nuances. It will not be popular with the teachers. Billion dolllar industry in Buffalogy because it is convenient for teachers.
target prices, intrinsic values same same....they serve to mislead u......better is look at the business and have the business sense....to buy and to sell.
ps......how to trust buy and hold and intrinsic value and value investing when it has not worked in Wall Street this year and have not worked in Malaysia for 18 months?.....

really....cannot do well unless one has mastered some of the advanced skills in this coming series of improving tactical skills.
your stuffs only good for earning fees from students....my stuffs can make money from the stock market.....

I do better than that....for a couple of months, I have been showing my purchases and sales live......and so far, its like magic....almost 100% strike rate......

last two weeks, I have showed I only liked Elsoft, Supermax and Layhoong.....Now, I only have Layhong and waiting for it to give me good profits....The other two sold already for good profits.

kc...I am not interested in buy and hold.....I am interested in trading.....immediate results within days/ weeks......
