Countries are running out of gloves and have to purchase even more to overcome the incoming shortage.

For next 2-3 years, glove manufacturers will have to even more gloves compared to this year. Eventually, price will increase over time and the simple answer to that is because of the decreasing amount of raw rubber latex materials to produce it.

It is expected that the demand will be higher than 350b gloves next year according to Careplus annual report 2020. What's next?

Looking at the current situation in Malaysia, let's bite the our lips and admit that it is definitely much worse compared to last year.

Remember 16th March 2020 when the government proposed MCO to the whole country? This was when Malaysia attracts 125 cases per day. With a total number that stand at 553 cases.

Now our government has proposed a Targetted MCO on a few states despite reaching a high new 2,593 cases today with an active cases of 24,347.

Does this help?

You tell me in your experience of living in Malaysia as this is not the first targetted MCO.

We have done targetted MCO, EMCO & CMCO for many other states and cities but did it solve our ever increasing number of cases?

What about MCO? Did MCO help?

The answer is quite clear so why doesnt the government just impose MCO?

There are rumours in the air that claims that it is because the economy of Malaysia is already so bad, many more will be jobless which lead to an increase of crime rate and government has no budget for another round of MCO. These are true.

Lets not forget that they are also spending so much money on vaccines and the equipment for it. Below are the details.

To those who are wondering why government no money and forced to stop certain projects such as the HSR. Now, you know the answer. Most of it goes into vaccines.

Now when will the vaccines come? Around February-March.

BUT (Yes, there is a but)

It is not decided whether we should use the vaccines on the locals only. Many thinks it is a better idea to give the vaccine shot to the foreigners first.

Malaysia will receive 12.8 million doses of vaccines. We may have to give vaccine shots to the foreigners who may most likely be the foreign workers and then, locals. Keep in mind, there are 32million population in Malaysia at the moment.

12.8 million doses isnt enough for everybody in Malaysia and its not all for local only.

Remember, we also have to give these doses to the front liner first who are the doctor and nurses (decreasing in numbers).

In my opinion, I do believe that there will be another MCO after Malaysia receive the vaccine shots.

Why is that? I can think of a couple only.

As a comparison between last year (MCO + No vaccine) vs. this year (MCO + Vaccine)

If true, does the government have enough budget to support the nations like last year?

I highly doubt so. There will be benefits that we may not received as compared to last year. The only difference is there will be vaccines this year in exchange for the lack of benefits if there is an MCO.

Is it worth having an MCO after receiving doses of vaccine?

Yes, it is worth it.

Many will suffer for sure during MCO (inevitable). Some sacrifices is needed to be done in order to create the maximum result of recovery in Malaysia and for the greatest long term benefit of economy when it comes to export businesses, share market and other services.

Should other countries do the same? Yes, they should for the same reason as above.

As to what will happen to the share market during the MCO for all countries, a strong likelihood that history will repeat itself. What kind of history? That is for you to find out.

The above are just my opinions.

There several wrong statement.Government not no money. Our asset on petrol and gas worth more thn 10 trillion not include shares and land in local and foreign countries.

Second,HSR cancel not because of no money but priority on settling Covid-19.Even Mahathir also say tht HSR can be on the next 10-20 years.

Remember b4 u can control covid19, u need to conduct mass screening thus resulted in uncovering mass cases loh!!

Pls do not simply Panic loh!

"Actually, a widespread MCO can be avoided by instituting a Targeted Enhanced Movement Control Order (TEMCO) in affected areas by mass screening and testing and isolating those with contacts for 48 hours."

He said a national network of contact tracers has to be set up immediately, with the help of community leaders.

Dr Lee said the special recruits can be trained by Public Health officers to ensure that contacts adhere to quarantine regulations and follow SOPs. They can also help in mass testing and the like.
