SIBU: The Sarawak government has banned Zakir Naik from entering the state.
According to Sin Chew Online, Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing and state Local Government and Housing minister Datuk Dr Sim Kui Hian confirmed the state government's decision on Thursday (Aug 15).
Masing said Zakir's highly seditious remarks could pose a potential danger to the ethnic and religious harmony of Sarawak, and the state government had decided to bar him from entering the state.
