KUALA LUMPUR (May 15): Shares of Malaysian glove manufacturers surged on Wednesday after the US raised the tariffs on Chinese rubber medical and surgical gloves to 25% from 7.5%.
Top Glove Corp Bhd (KL:TOPGLOV), the world’s largest glove maker by capacity, rose as much as 20% to RM1.15. Hartalega Holdings Bhd (KL:HARTA) climbed 19% to RM3.51 while Kossan Rubber Industries Bhd (KL:KOSSAN) was up 16% to RM2.76.
