KUALA LUMPUR: Pakatan Harapan's Sungai Bakap candidate Dr Joohari Ariffin has jumped in on the viral "one by one gentlemen" viral phenomenon to drive the message of unity and peace.

A video clip, posted on Facebook by Joohari, is reminiscent of a previous viral video involving a fight between two men at a grocery store.

On June 5, the original video of the fight between a storekeeper and his customer went viral, causing an uproar on social media.

Police detained both men for two days and they were released on June 8.

Since then, the two men have made peace and have appeared in several videos.

The latest video featuring Joohari takes a surprising and humorous turn when the customer, the Indian man, who initially brandishes a parang (machete) reveals his true intention is to open up and eat a durian with the Chinese man.

Joohari then quips: "This is how we must live together, united in spirit and harmony, so we can move forward. We don't want to fight, we want to be friends."

This video was flooded with comments praising it for promoting unity.

"We need to share this. Malays, Chinese, and Indians together. A campaign video that brings peace and unity. Thumbs up," wrote @Lee Khai Loon.

"Good content for uniting Malaysians of various races. This is what Malaysia needs," said user @Khusyairi Kamil.

"It doesn't matter which party the representatives are from, as long as they can help the people efficiently and effectively. I support harmony and unity among everyone in my beloved country, Malaysia," said @Matt Lai.
