KOTA BARU: A hotel owner here has ended his partnership with GISB Holdings (GISBH) following the police's probe into the company.

The hotel owner, Musab Abdul Rahman, said he previously engaged GISBH to manage the hotel in Jalan Long Yunus.

However, following the police's raids on GISBH-linked premises, Musab said bookings have dried up.

"All the hotel workers have resigned," he said.

Musab said he did not want to be affiliated with GISBH and this was why he ended his partnership with the company.

He is now running the hotel with the help of his wife and children.

Today, Musab changed the hotel's signboard which used to bear GISBH's logo.

On Saturday, police raided a house where the chief executive officer of GISB stayed when he was in Kelantan.

The house near Kampung Panji was among three raided by the police, Welfare Department and Kelantan Religious Department.

It is understood that 30 people, including 20 children, live in the three homes. They include the second wife of the GISB CEO, who was at home during the raid.

GISBH is now the focus of a police investigation after raids were conducted on 20 welfare homes allegedly linked to the group last week. The raids saw 402 people, some as young as 1-year-old, rescued.

Police said the victims had endured various forms of exploitation and abuse, including being sodomised.

GISBH has since denied the allegations of child exploitation and sexual abuse.
