ALOR STAR: The number of flood victims in Kedah has dropped to 6,792 individuals from 2,171 families, who are currently sheltered in 33 temporary evacuation centres (PPS) as of 11pm last night (Sept 23).

This marks a decrease from 7,525 victims reported at 3pm yesterday across four districts: Kota Setar, Pendang, Kubang Pasu, and Pokok Sena.

According to a report from the Department of Social Welfare (JKM), Kota Setar has 4,626 victims from 1,509 families still in 19 PPS, down from 5,212 victims from 1,719 families reported earlier.

In Pendang, the number remains unchanged at 1,606 victims from 490 families in 10 PPS.

Kubang Pasu has seen a decrease in flood victims to 493 from 144 families, down from 621 victims from 196 families in three PPS previously.

In Pokok Sena, there are currently 67 victims from 28 families, a decline from 88 victims from 39 families in an earlier PPS.
