Major Participants(市场主力）

Major participants in the market are Operators, Institutions(Funds), Stockist (PDT/IVT) and retailers. PDTs and IVTs are licensed individuals who are granted Capital Market Service License (CMSRL) by regulator. They have their trading account parked under a Participating Organization.

Trading Fees

They do not need to pay brokerage fee and stamp duty when trading. The sole cost which is applicable is clearing fee, a negligible 0.03% of the aggregate value of stocks transacted. Hence they can do huge volume trading without much consideration of the fee. With this kind of advantage, PDT and IVT can make profit even only with one tick movement.

Leverage

Depending on track record, their leverage can range from 1000% to 5000% easily. It means that you put in RM100k, you can have RM5 million trading capital.

Liquidity Providers

They are liquidity providers of market, they can alleviate the imbalance between long-term long only investors and short-term speculators and also improve price mechanism.
