The FBM KLCI (-0.10%) ended lower after hitting an intraday high of around the 1,659 level despite recent solid foreign buying of Malaysian equities, as YTL-related counters dragged down the sentiment for the FBM KLCI. Also, market breadth was negative, with losers outnumbering gainers by 738-to-333 stocks. In the broader market, the Financial Services sector (+0.67%) was the best performer, led by CIMB (+12.0 sen) and MAYBANK (+10.0 sen), while the Energy sector (-1.98%) declined the most.
