KPMG had raised issues relating to sales, trade payables and material on site balances involving 11 parties which accounted for total sales transactions of RM2.32 billion, a trade receivables balance of RM652 million and materials on site balance of RM569 million.
KPMG also raised issues around Serba Dinamik's customer and supplier in Bahrain, involving total sales transactions of US$101 million (RM417.48 million) and trade receivables balance of US$24 million (RM99.2 million).
These are indeed very very serious issues; KPMG cannot be wrong on all these counts. It is very difficult for SD to wash them all clean! If it can, KPMG will be in deep trouble!

Building a production factory in US is not viable or cost effective in long run. Take an example, Operating cost in US is comparative much higher than Malaysia. Recently, Biden sets the minimum hourly wage rate at high US$15. Currently, minimum hourly rate is US$ 7.25. The daily worker's pay is 8hours X US$7.25 = US$58 = MY240. How much is a Malaysian worker in a glove factory being paid per day?
At what selling price of glove is Supermax going to sell in US? If US is flooded with cheaper MY or China made gloves, what happens...

AUTOSHOW Chip shortage casts shadow on China's auto industry recovery
Author: Tan KW | Publish date: Mon, 19 Apr 2021, 8:09 AM
SHANGHAI: Auto industry executives are rattled by a global shortage of semiconductors which is hitting production in China, after hoping the world's biggest car market could spearhead global recovery in the sector.
Automakers around the world have had to adjust assembly lines due to the shortages, caused by manufacturing delays that some semiconductor makers blame on a faster-than expected recovery from the coronavirus pandemic.
Volkswagen AG, China's biggest foreign automaker which wants to sell over four million vehicles in the country, said the impact of the shortage remains unabated in the second quarter this year.
Stephan Woellenstein, Volkswagen's China chief, told reporters on Sunday it was hard to gauge how much production Volkswagen might lose week to week or even month to month because of the chip shortage.
"It's really like fire-fighting... In some cases, we have switched to another chip so we changed suppliers," he said, ahead of the Shanghai auto show which opens on Monday.
China, where over 25 million vehicles were sold last year, become a ray of hope for automakers, including Volkswagen and General Motors, as the global auto industry was hit hard by the pandemic.
However, China is also where news of the auto chip shortage first emerged last year. The shortage was worsened by a fire in Renesas Electronics' chip factory in Japan in March.
In 2019, automotive groups accounted for roughly a tenth of the $429 billion semiconductor market, according to McKinsey, with NXP Semiconductor, Germany's Infineon and Renesas among key suppliers to the sector.
Automakers, including Nissan Motor, Ford Motor and Nio Inc said they cut production due to the chip supply shortage.
Li Shaohua, senior official at China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, said chip supply shortage hit auto production by 5% to 8% in the first two months this year and expects the impact to ease from the third quarter of this year.
As a result, China Automobile Dealers Association, said it expects car inventory to continue to drop in China as the chip shortage hits overall auto production. Supply of some car models might not be able to meet demand, it said

News From the Front on Semiconductors: The Shortage Is Getting Worse
The Barron's Daily
April 16, 2021 6:45 pm ET
A morning briefing on what you need to know in the day ahead, including exclusive commentary from Barron's and MarketWatch writers.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing, one of the companies best positioned to know the outlook for the chip shortage that is hitting the auto industry, had good news and bad news this week.
On a conference call held Thursday to discuss Taiwan Semi’s (ticker: TSM) quarterly results, CEO C.C. Wei said the shortage has gotten worse due to the snowstorm and freezing temperatures that hit Texas in February and “the fab manufacturing disruption in Japan,” an apparent reference to a fire that struck a major chip factory there last month. Chips of many types could remain generally scarce until 2022, he said.
The good news, however, is that Taiwan Semi sees the situation for automotive chips in particular largely resolving itself by the end of the third quarter. “Together with our productivity improvement, we expect the automotive component shortage from semiconductor to be greatly reduced for TSMC’s customer by the next quarter,” the CEO said.
Both Ford Motor (F) and General Motors (GM), along with many other auto makers, have idled production at some plants as they wait for parts. Both Ford and GM have already said the chip shortage would be a billion dollar headwind for 2021 profits.

Very irrational. Dataprp can go up. Dnex, a much better company with much brighter prospects and profitability, is still waiting for further catalyst to rocket up. The easiest catalyst to use is simply to get everybody to buy and hold. And stop selling. Remember the supply and demand equation! Very effective!
