First, narrow down a total of 1025 stocks in Bursa using Warren Buffet's simple rules:

1. Debt to Equity Ratio < 0.5

2. Current Ratio > 1.5

3. ROE > 10 (Buffet prefers higher, i use lower here since Bursa's ROE is not as high as US)

You then left with only 103 stocks.

Then, proceed to make sure stocks with only QoQ and YoY growth, they must make consistant and continuous profits in the last 4 quarters.

Next, very important to filter out all stocks that does not generate Free Cash Flow (FCF) or very little FCF, I use Price to FCF Ratio < 20 here to improvise, cause Cash Flow is the blood of business.

Notice that I ignore PE so far, because after you have gone throught all the methodology I mentioned above, you will certainly reach low PE anyway, that is why the focus is not PE but everything else mentioned earlier.

Finally, choose only Top 3 stocks (by lowest P/FCF) that comes from 3 different business model.

So, guess which stock do i get eventually?

It is quite unfortunate that many posts in this thread were deleted. If they have been kept in place, those who wished to understand this thread in depth will learn many valuable lessons.

Promoters like calvintan has a personality trait that you need to be aware. If you were to follow his promotions unthinkably, you will be the fool led by the pipe-piper. :-) Just look at how productive he is in promoting thousands of stocks. He must at least be honest with himself that activities in the market do not necessarily translate into profits. Moreover, he is anything, but humble in his promotions.

Sadly, those who have followed calvin into Netx, many might have lost their money. Netx never played out the way calvin planned, it is obvious that it is the business fundamentals that are most important in the long run. Many are "saved" in this stock by the "naysayers" in this thread, to the chagrin of calvin.

Today, it is priced at US 223.24 per share, PE of 68.2x. It has corrected 36% from its peak.

What lessons can a long-term investor learn from this?



You will need to understand its business. Understand its products and services provided. Get as much information about its business from its annual reports and financial reports. Go through its accounts to understand the business. Then do your own valuation of its future free cash flow. Discount these by a discount factor that you wish to have. Derive your own intrinsic value for this company. All the above has nothing to do with its stock price.

Price tells you little about the company. It only tells you the price Mr. Market wishes to buy or sell to you. If you just look at the price only, you can never be safe in your investing.

China has done extremely well over the last 30 years. It has lifted poverty in a large number of people in China. Chinese are enjoying better living today that their fore-fathers.

China policies have been for the masses. Everyone has the opportunity to be rich if they work hard. Those who are weak, infirm or disabled will be helped.

Simple policies in China with central planning by able leaders have seen China's miraculous economic transformation.

Western democracy has its merits but its many flaws too; it should not be the only form of good government to the exclusion of other forms of government as long as it is fair, just and able to deliver.

I have travelled the length and breath of China and can only be amazed by the massive development benefiting its huge population throughout this big country and this includes those in Xinjiang too.
