Haha, 30usd/bbl for shale oil to breakeven ah? I think all OPEC and non-shale oil can tutup kedai already.

Wao, OTB expect 400mil PAT?
How he come out with such a over-opstimistic value.
Or you are talking about revenue?

And P2-ST is pumping extra 1500bbl to anasuria daily start from sept, ah the math is so tough to calculate how much hibiscus will earn
2018-11-27 21:02 | Report Abuse
my math no good, can someone calculate the PE now?
And oil producer in the world trading around PE of 15, can approximate what is its the price when it is PE 15?

You can laugh on donovan's on his super bullish view (i personally think it is too optimistic / too good to be trues as well).
But you cant deny that he buy it since 20c and have making 5 folds.
So if you can beat him then only u have the right to laugh at him.

hmmm. i always have some doubt with those sifu.
Coz they are no different than IB (personal view), buy at low enough then only share their bullish "report" or "view".
Then after sell all their shares the only now telling the member the bad view on it.
Well, just take it a pinch of salt. Buy stock on your own diligence. Many those who listen to sifu/IB have been losing money in hibiscus.
But many others that can think themselves been collect since long and are the one that quiet and enjoy the show only.

So far hard to find those who actually play IDSS on hibiscus able to earn a fortune.
Price are kinda being "controlled" actually.

@titus, i didnt see any announcement on ceo/director selling any shares at june.
Kindly advise where you./ your sifu saw this?

Shale Oil is breakeven at 50usd/bbl.
It wont down below that coz if it happens basically all US shale oil company will collapse. So abang trump wont allow that coz they are now exported and no longer importer.
Stay cool and now it is another turn to collect cheap.
By the way, nowadays bad result/good result also drop.

Wow.....i didnt expect still got people talking about dividend here....Please, wan dividend, then go buy maybank or pbb....
By the way, From Dnex QR mention as below:
For Energy, the share of result in an associate company has contributed significant to the Group bottomline; its performance was improved in tandem with the improving crude oil price in current quarter.

When u expect rise, then the big boy short it.
When u expect drop. the big boy push it up.

lol, for those who think negative goodwill is bad. Try to read what hibiscus comment in annual report:
"The negative goodwill had been recognised in proft or loss in the fnancial year ended 30 June 2018. The transaction resulted in a gain as the Group has the skill sets and capabilities to enhance the value of the assets post acquisition. As a result, the fair value of the assets is greater than the purchase consideration."

Some movement from hibiscus on their annual report:
"We have only recently immersed ourselves in the day to-day operations of the North Sabah PSC felds and are extremely excited by their potential. Net 2C Resources are estimated to be 29.2 million barrels and in this respect, the management team at SEA Hibiscus is maturing several
projects to convert some of these 2C Resources into producible 2P Reserves."
Looks like it will be another good news soon

#Oozie75
So basically the report is to highlight that 3D Oil found a potential geological trap in their old 2D seismic data that has similar features of Dorado's trap, thus giving a high possibility that there will be a big oil reservoir there.
So now they identify this high potential trap, and thus plan to do more seismic study on it to see if they could find more oil at this place
Some basic knowledge on oil formation:
oils are formed in source rock (Triassic sand in this case), but it usually spread across a wide thin layer (imagine a thousand layer cake).
However oil are like water, it flow from one place to another place. It migrates due to geological movement (earthquake, plateau movement etc), and it end up in a "trap".
(Imagine a water puddle on the road on a rainy day, water flow across the road surface but end up "trapped" in the puddle, thus this become a good place we place a straw here and suck out all the water from this puddle).
Hope my explanation helps, as my geology really just self learning from some fundamental books.

Brent drop is like a knee jerk effect, when oil price surge everybody full blast their production (especially shale). Then suddenly temporary oversupply
But when oil price plunge in a hard manner. everybody worry and tighten their tap. Then suddenly supply less, price up again.
Well, if u wanna hold it for a month and wish for a quick earning. All the best, as this is no different from gamble.
Hold long enough, then your risk of losing is becoming smaller. Look at other oil producers in the world, their earning is improving now. Hibiscus will do the other way meh?

@Newbie8080, from dbs report it mentioned will be from internal fund and private placement will be unlikely.
2018-10-13 09:56 | Report Abuse
Oversupply is actually happened at US, coz only see they keep on increase their output but not other countries (for the moment).
US is playing trade war, so other country will still import from US? So i a bit doubtful on US crude inventories still represent global supply and demand anymore.
Anyway, just a thought. Might be right, might be wrong
2018-10-13 09:08 | Report Abuse
@ozzie, what they can do is "encourage" but it is still uncertain that it will works or not.
By the way, from DBS's report as follow:
We believe Hibiscus will not require any equity cash call in the near term to fund the purchase consideration as it has sizeable cash hoard of RM136m as at Jun 2018. Furthermore,
its operating cash flow will increase substantially in FY19 following the completion of acquisition of North Sabah EOR PSC in Mar 2018 while production volume in Anasuria Cluster
will rebound significantly following completion of a recent enhancement project.
Looks like it is pretty positive from DBS side that hibiscus has enough cash flow for this acquisition.

valueluerker, API density is of the criteria to determine the oil grade but other factor like sulphur content is another major factor to determine its quality.
As high sulphur oil often need higher cost to produce and refine due to their acidity and poisonous properties.

DragonG, great point on the incentive. But still the fund is a bit insecure as it uncertain and depends on the willingness of shareholders to convert
2018-10-09 16:35 | Report Abuse
DragonG, the warrant still have few more years before it expired. And as from what we see in anasuria and north sabah acquisition, usually they need to settle the first payment within a year, then remaining payment within a year or 2 after that.
So i doubt the warrants will make it in time or not.

Ya, weak holders who only run away with tiny profits. Few percent is happy enough for them
2018-10-09 16:08 | Report Abuse
Last few days drop seems like manipulated. And out of no where this acquisition new out.
As somehow they may have news already on this new acquisition, and push down the price to shake out the weak holders.

Rama118, hibiscus mentioned that they will borrow certain amount of loan to develop north sabah, maybe the fund to purchase this block is included?
Another case will be through private placement (most likely to me) which they have did that few times before. And of course the last possibility is right issue, but after sappura case. I doubt they will do so.
Anyway, welcome thoughts from everyone on this

Not part of hibiscus, nor BOD. But i hold the shares in hibiscus, so i see myself as a business partner to hibiscus (even though portion is ant small).
Just caught in surprise as just acquire north sabah field and now another acquisition within a year time. And they need money to further develop north sabah and now another chunk of money for this new blocks.
Just a concern, as cash flow / funding is definitely as issue for a company if it did not manage well.
2018-10-09 11:27 | Report Abuse
By the way, any idea where they get the extra fund to purchase? As they mentioned all through internal funds

yes, titus, the 85usd/bbl will not straight away reflected on upcoming quarter. But what matters is that oil price in constant uptrend, so the revenue of hibisucs will getting better. so this stock is for long term, short term is really risky and we have seen a lot that trapped here before.
But if u hold long enough, then fat profit waiting for you.See those who hold long, some already achieve at least 50% profit.
2018-10-03 08:10 | Report Abuse
titus, your sifut only look at mid term (quarters), so it really up to personal preference on how they see hibiscus' performance. But u can tell him also this quarter already for sure at least 2 offloads from anasuria, more offloads on sabah is a surplus to previous quarters.
And the maintenance does not means no oil at all on north sabah. It sill be sequential, and usually they will boost production from other nearby well/platform to cover the losses.
Dont forgot, the production supervisor have to keel their KPI in order to get a fat bonus. So their will find their way to make sure the maintenance in shortest manner while maintain their target production.
And yes, the offloads from anasuria will not be 85 usd straight away. But what we see is the future price they can sell, it it maintain like current price then next quarter they will sell at this price and premium of 5-10% on north sabah oil
2018-09-28 22:05 | Report Abuse
hahaha, still got people talking about dividend.
whenever people mention about this, then straight away know he/she know nothing about hibiscus.
so just ignore them and let them shout whatever they want
2018-09-27 21:43 | Report Abuse
And people are screaming and running around when company right issue. Sappura right issue to pay debt, hibiscus is to grow faster when while oil price is favourable
2018-09-27 21:41 | Report Abuse
Man....if you are looking for dividend, wrong place la. And we dont know yet is it going to be right issue or not. As as hibiscus mentioned earlier, they will borrow some loan which will no longer in net cash condition.
2018-09-27 20:59 | Report Abuse
Hibiscus been long highlighted that they need extra fund to develop for north sabah.
This is because hibiscus desperate for growing. And they need fund to develop at a faster pace rather than wait the oil get to the surface year by year.
So just sit back and relax, and continue to hold hibiscus.
It is growing, management knows what they are doing (as of now everything promised delivered) and just sail with hibiscus.
