Wow. How profound. A dude with the name of a famous Japanese swordsman quoting an Italian proverb. So, which Japanese and Italian restaurant in KL is he a regular customer of, one wonders.

He does hv a taste for exotic foreign food, one has to acknowledge. Meybe pizza & pasta, and a bit of sushi & tempura. But one could only guess whether he's ever been to Tokyo or Rome in his life.

The Bursa record, I believe, has been adjusted to take account of the downward price adjustment that occurred as a result of the RI. So the 80-sen peak of August last year is now recorded as about 50 sen, I think.

NoManLand, really. In that case I gladly offer myself to be your chaperone. Or perhaps, better still, her chaperone.

As for me, on the other hand, I'm hoping that current proposed RI is either canceled or postponed, coz a cancellation or postponement would likely lift the current market price.

Your remiser would be easier for you to communicate with, NoManLand. Go take him out for lunch or tea some time. It will be worth your time, and your roti canai or nasi kandar money.

Last year's RI gave me easily 60k from 200k capital when the Mother price stabilised around 28, and including the free WB warrants.

Then, around March this year, I sold all Mother and switched to WB, coz it was looking more nimble and agile.

Then I sold my other stocks to buy nearly 450 more big lots, post RI, also at around average 28.

It was a volatile time alst year. It even hit a peak of 80 some time in August. I bought 100 big lots at first, average 73. When RI deadline came, it dropped to 50. But I made the decision to hold tite and take up the RI, which was then offered at 17.5 sen.

So I got 410 RI big lots, plus I also bought 40 Excess RI lots, all at 17.5 sen.

So my average for 550 big lots, post-RI, came to 28 sen.

Just get used to living with that fear, BM. Bit by bit, they will gradually become thinner and thinner. Eventually, one day, you won't feel it anymore.

That day, you would hv become a warrior. An investment warrior.

Big machine, there is one way for you to average down your cost. If the RI is confirmed, you be ready with more money to take up the RI offer, Then, post-RI, yourverage cost will be significantly reduced.

My average cost before the previous RI last year was 73. But post-RI it came down to 28. But that one was on 41 for 10 basis. The new one is being proposed on 1 for 2 basis, so the calculations will be different.

CalvinTan dah nak menyebar dakyah palsu pulak dah WOi, kawan, SJ is a Suma loyalist. But he's also investin other counters. Not many people hv the courage and boldness to plonk all his eggs into just one basket.

I happen to be one among these few. Because I know that this one basket is made of gold. Pure 24-carat gold.

BigMachine. You need to toughen up your heart and make yourself into cyborg, as far as feelings are concerned.

Investing is like fighting in battle. If you too easily succumb to your own softer feelings, you're as good as dead.

Gotta learn to ignore the pain and fatigue. Gotta be always stronger, braver and tougher than one's enemy. As also wiser and smarter.

So, are you in, or out.

Personally, I don't hv anything against someone cutting losses, even if I myself as along termer don't really subscribe to that doctrine.

But if he/she wants to do that, better be absolutely confident that it's a positive, beneficial cut-loss (i.e. one cud buy back cheaper), and not a negative, damaging cut-loss (i.e. having to buy back more expensive, becoz the stock had suddenly rebounded).
