KUALA LUMPUR: AirAsia Group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes has confirmed that the low-cost carrier had placed an order for 66 units of Airbus 330 neo passenger jets.
In his latest post on Twitter, he also indicated that the airline might place an additional order from the aircraft manufacturer.
“Off to Airbus today in Toulouse. Lots to discuss. The A330 neo (is equipped) with Rolls Royce engines. They (weigh) 251 tonnes (and) can reach London,” he said.

The Board of Directors of TRIVE (“Board”) is pleased to announce that Trive Property Sdn Bhd (“TPSB”), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company had on 19 October 2017 entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (“MOU”) with Tenaga Meriah Sdn Bhd (“TMSB”), a company incorporated in Malaysia and having its registered office at Level 33A Menara 1MK, Kompleks 1 Mont Kiara, No. 1 Jalan Kiara, Mont Kiara, 50480 Kuala Lumpur for purpose of the appointment of TPSB as a turnkey contractor for the proposed design, construction and completion of a proposed affordable housing development project for Syarikat Perumahan Negara Berhad (SPNB) in Kuala Lumpur.
TPSB and TMSB are hereinafter collectively referred to as the “Parties”.
The Parties have agreed to promptly negotiate exclusively in good faith the detailed terms and conditions of the proposed appointment of TPSB as a turnkey contractor with the intention to finalize and enter into a definitive agreement for the award.
The salient terms of the MOU are as follows:-
1. The proposed affordable housing development project is expected to commence within 9 months (“Commencement Date”) in the event of TPSB is successfully being appointed as the turnkey contractor and to be completed within 60 months from Commencement Date.
2. The proposed affordable housing development project shall include the design, construction and completion of the following structures and facilities, to be constructed on a land area measuring approximately 8.9 acres:-

The Board of Directors of the GBGAQRS wishes to update that Suria Capital Berhad (“Suria”) had liaised with Lands and Surveys Department Sabah and successfully amended the Owner’s Covenant in the land title (TL 017561974). Under clause (3) condition precedent in the joint venture agreement, Suria is to provide GBGAQRS subdivision title of the land. The original title issued in Jan 2017 stated Owner’s Covenant.
Suria has officially forwarded to GBGAQRS on 5th April 2018 the updated land title capturing the amendment of permission to extend the Owner’s Covenant to complete construction of a building until month 01 year 2023.
With the updated land title, GBGAQRS has initiated the update valuation of the commercial land and discussion with financial institution to charge the land. Both GBGAQRS and Tera Capital have also started updating the market study of the 432 keys hotel, 280 units serviced suites and 340 units condominiums.
GBGAQRS is working closely with the architect to update the design layout with the target submission of the Development Plan by 4th quarter 2018.
Based on the design layout, GBGAQRS has also started the phase 1 site investigation (“S.I.”) works on site and completed in April 2018. Phase 2 S.I. works is targeting to commence upon Suria handing over the vacant possession of the existing Jesselton Point ticketing hall.
GBGAQRS has also completed the design of the temporary ticketing hall and obtained Building Plan (BP) approval in December 2017. However, Suria has informed GBGAQRS in February 2018 that they have decided to change the design brief to the approved ticketing hall with reduced area and budget. GBGAQRS is now updating the changes and target to resubmit to authority by early June 2018.
Based on the updates above, GBGAQRS and Tera Capital have mutually agreed to further extend the existing MOU until 31 December 2018. Except as expressly modified by way of the extended MOU, the other terms and conditions of the MOU shall remain unchanged and in full force.

安联星展研究表示，大马经济研究院（MIER）发布的今年首季消费者信心指数（CSI）飙涨至91点，创下2014年9月来最高，相信在新政府兑现竞选承诺，以及市场对新政府的“良好感觉”情绪扶持下，消费者信心指数未来有望进一步攀高。
“私人消费复苏将提高私人医疗保健开销增加。”
该行指出，除国家基本药物名单（National Essential Medicines List）药品归为零税率外，其他由私人医疗保健服务供应商提供的药品属豁免供应（Exempt supply），即不必征消费税，但也将不可索回进项税，意味着IHH医保（IHH,5225,主板贸服组）和柔佛医药保健（KPJ,5878,主板贸服组）需自行消化6%消费税。
“不过，在销售税机制下，药品无需征税，因此政府宣布将消费税调降至零后，我们相信私人医疗保健服务供应商的获利赚益未来将逐步好转。”

As the reported earnings were below our expectations, we adjust our full year FY18 estimated net profit and revenue downwards to RM21.0 mln (-14.3%) and RM259.4 mln (-20.1%) to reflect slower revenue recognition, while tweaking our depreciation and net interest assumptions slightly. Further, we keep our FY19 revenue unchanged barring further updates on project progress, although net profit was adjusted higher to RM22.8 mln (+4.6%) on lower depreciation costs.
Consequently, we maintain our BUY call on AWC with a higher target price of RM1.10 (from RM1.05), due to slightly better margins. Our target price is arrived by ascribing an unchanged target PER of 13.0x to AWC's FY19 EPS of 8.5 sen and also remains at a discount to AWC’s nearest competitor, UEM Edgenta Bhd due to the former’s smaller market capitalisation.

"Please Malaysia, don't label him as a pengkhianat (traitor)," Syed Saddiq, 25, said in an Instagram post today.
"[Fernandes] has helped us (Pakatan Harapan) from the start, but can't disclose it to the public due to the fear of repression. I leave it to the Malaysian people to judge."

GFM is the only company trading at a similar PER against the international established players such as Aramak, ISS A/S, Compass Group and Sodexo. We reckon the company is deeply underappreciated largely due to bearish market sentiments and the lack of new high profile contract wins lately.
