it is possible that the company is being considered by potential acquirers. Here are some reasons why PICORP might be a target for a merger or acquisition:

The company has valuable assets, such as intellectual property or real estate.
The company is operating in a growing industry. This could make it an attractive target for a company that is looking to expand its market share.
The company has a strong management team. This could make it an attractive target for a company that is looking to improve its own management team.
If PICORP is indeed a target for a merger or acquisition, it is likely that the company's shareholders will be offered a premium for their shares. This could be a good opportunity for shareholders to sell their shares and realize a profit.

It is possible that the share price of Progressive Impact Corporation Berhad (PICORP) could fly high anytime. However, it is important to note that the stock market is volatile and there is no guarantee that any stock will go up in price.

There are a few factors that could contribute to a rise in PICORP's share price. First, the company is well-positioned to benefit from the growing demand for environmental solutions. PICORP provides a range of services, including waste management, water treatment, and environmental consulting. As governments and businesses around the world become more focused on sustainability, the demand for these services is expected to grow.

The potential merger of Progressive Impact Corporation Berhad (PICORP) and Cypark Resources Berhad (CYPARK) could enhance shareholder value in a number of ways.

First, the merger would create a larger and more diversified company with a wider range of operations. PICORP is a waste management company, while CYPARK is a renewable energy company. The merger would allow the combined company to offer a more comprehensive range of services to its customers, which could lead to increased revenue and profits.

Second, the merger would allow the combined company to achieve economies of scale. By combining their operations, PICORP and CYPARK could reduce their costs and improve their efficiency. This could lead to higher profits, which could be passed on to shareholders in the form of higher dividends or share price appreciation.

Third, the merger would create a more competitive company. The combined company would be a larger and more established player in the waste management and renewable energy sectors. This could give it a competitive advantage over its smaller and less established rivals.

Of course, there are also some risks associated with the merger. For example, the merger could be dilutive to shareholders if the combined company issues new shares to finance the acquisition. Additionally, the merger could be challenging to integrate, which could lead to operational problems.

Overall, the potential merger of PICORP and CYPARK could enhance shareholder value. However, there are some risks associated with the merger that should be carefully considered before shareholders approve it.

Here are some specific examples of how the merger could enhance shareholder value:

The combined company could achieve cost savings by consolidating back-office functions and sharing resources.
The combined company could expand into new markets and generate new revenue streams.
The combined company could be more attractive to strategic partners and investors.
Of course, the actual impact of the merger on shareholder value will depend on a number of factors, including the terms of the merger and the execution of the integration plan. However, the potential benefits of the merger are significant, and it is worth considering if you are a shareholder of either PICORP or CYPARK.

It is possible that Jakel can afford to acquire Picorp. Jakel is a large and successful textile company with a market capitalization of over RM1 billion. Picorp is a smaller company with a market capitalization of around RM200 million. Jakel has been known to make acquisitions in the past, such as its acquisition of Cypark Resources Berhad in 2022.

However, there are a few factors that Jakel would need to consider before making an acquisition of Picorp. First, Jakel would need to make sure that the acquisition is financially feasible. The company would need to have enough cash on hand or access to financing to pay for the acquisition. Second, Jakel would need to be confident that the acquisition would be accretive to its earnings. This means that the acquisition would need to generate enough additional revenue and profits to offset the cost of the acquisition.

Ultimately, the decision of whether or not to acquire Picorp would be up to Jakel's management team. They would need to weigh the risks and rewards of the acquisition before making a decision.

Here are some additional factors that Jakel would need to consider:

The strategic fit of Picorp with Jakel's business.
The regulatory approvals required for the acquisition.
The reaction of Picorp's shareholders to the acquisition.
If Jakel decides to acquire Picorp, it would be a significant move for the company. It would give Jakel a foothold in the renewable energy sector, which is a growing market.

there are also some reasons to believe that the PICORP share price could be undervalued.

The company has a strong track record of revenue growth. In the past five years, PICORP's revenue has grown by an average of 10% per year. This growth is likely to continue, as the company expands its business into new markets.
The company has a good management team. The PICORP management team has a proven track record of success. They have a clear vision for the company, and they are committed to growing the business.
The company is trading at a discount to its peers. Other companies in the same industry are trading at a higher price-to-earnings ratio than PICORP. This suggests that PICORP's shares could be undervalued.

Water pollution: Malaysia's water resources are also under threat from pollution. This is due to agricultural runoff, industrial waste, and sewage. Water pollution can make water unsafe to drink and can also damage aquatic ecosystems.
Waste management: Malaysia generates a lot of waste, and much of it is not properly disposed of. This can lead to environmental problems such as pollution and the spread of disease.
Deforestation: Malaysia has lost a significant amount of its forests in recent years. This is due to logging, agricultural expansion, and development projects. Deforestation can lead to climate change, soil erosion, and the extinction of species.
Climate change: Malaysia is already experiencing the effects of climate change, such as more extreme weather events and rising sea levels. Climate change is a global problem, but it is having a particularly severe impact on Malaysia.
Environmental studies can help to address these challenges by providing the knowledge and skills needed to manage the environment sustainably. Environmental scientists can work to develop and implement solutions to environmental problems, such as:

Air pollution control: Environmental scientists can develop and implement strategies to reduce air pollution, such as cleaner fuels, emissions control devices, and public transportation.
Water pollution control: Environmental scientists can develop and implement strategies to reduce water pollution, such as wastewater treatment plants, stormwater management systems, and industrial pollution prevention programs.
Waste management: Environmental scientists can develop and implement strategies to manage waste more effectively, such as waste reduction, recycling, and composting.
Deforestation prevention: Environmental scientists can work to prevent deforestation by promoting sustainable forest management practices and by educating the public about the importance of forests.
Climate change adaptation: Environmental scientists can help communities to adapt to the effects of climate change by developing strategies such as seawalls, flood control measures, and drought-resistant crops.
By studying the environment and developing solutions to environmental problems, environmental scientists can help to make Malaysia a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable country.

In addition to the reasons mentioned above, environmental studies is also important for Malaysia because it can help to:

Create jobs: The environmental sector is a growing sector in Malaysia, and there are many opportunities for employment in environmental studies.
Attract investment: Foreign investors are increasingly looking for countries that are committed to environmental protection. Malaysia can benefit from this trend by investing in environmental studies and by developing a strong environmental record.
Improve Malaysia's image: Malaysia's image has been tarnished by environmental problems such as air pollution and deforestation. By investing in environmental studies and by taking steps to address these problems, Malaysia can improve its image and attract more tourists and businesses.
Overall, environmental studies is an important field of study that can help Malaysia to address its many environmental challenges. By studying the environment and developing solutions to environmental problems, environmental scientists can help to make Malaysia a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable country.

ESG, environmental study & assessment, so crucial today :)

China will draw up new industrial standards and rules detailing the proper ways to decommission, dismantle and recycle wind and solar facilities, the National Development and Reform Commission said. — Reuters

SINGAPORE: China, the world’s biggest renewable equipment manufacturer, will set up a recycling system for ageing wind turbines and solar panels as it tries to tackle the growing volumes of waste generated by the industry, the state planner said.

China has ramped up its wind and solar manufacturing capabilities in a bid to decarbonise its economy and ease its dependence on coal, and it is now on track to meet its goal to bring total wind and solar capacity to 1,200 gigawatts (GW) by 2030, up from 758GW at the end of last year.

But as older projects are replaced and decommissioned, waste volumes are set to soar, with large amounts of capacity already approaching retirement age, posing big environmental risks.

To cope with the challenge, China will draw up new industrial standards and rules detailing the proper ways to decommission, dismantle and recycle wind and solar facilities, the National Development and Reform Commission, said on Wednesday.

The state planning agency said that China would have a “basically mature” full-process recycling system for wind turbines and solar panels by the end of the decade.

Photovoltaic (PV) panels have a lifespan of around 25 years, and many of China’s projects are already showing significant signs of wear and tear, China’s official Science and Technology Daily newspaper said in June.

The paper cited experts as saying that China would need to recycle 1.5 million tonnes of PV modules by 2030, rising to around 20 million tonnes in 2050.

Total waste from solar projects alone could reach 212 million tonnes a year by 2050, according to one scenario drawn up by the International Renewable Energy Agency last year. — Reuters
