An apple drop causes earthquake!

Apple revenue only drop 4.5%, but however with lower tax rate and low share base, its revised forecast EPS/bottom line for 2019 1Q will improved 5 to 7% compare to last year corresponding quarter.

Inari drop over 13.61 % due to Apple revised 2019 1Q forecast. It is oversold due to fear, bear market sentiment...... a lot of other negative factor.

Egg sales should be no issue. For Nippon Premium product my personally didn't look good on it.

Target to sell 40% Nippon premium product in malaysia market, look like not an easy task.

Still has one doubt has not clear yet. How is the selling of NH joint product(Nippon Premium Nutriplus product) which is sold at premium compare to normal processed chicken product.

Egg is too pricey now. Better drop back to 39 cent to improve sales. At 39 cent it is still good and having good margin for egg production.

Retail grade A egg price increases 1 cent more to 43 in Perak, while Penang is 49 cent. Standard retail chicken price per kg also increases alot recently.

Good run up for teoseng

Processed chicken product remains to be seen.

Last two quarters were with high feed cost. If not mistaken layhong hedge their feed stock for 5 to 6 months. The coming quarter feed stock should be based on new hedge with lower feed cost. If this is true, their egg production should achieve high profit with no doubt.

Tasted all their product...from nutriplus fried chicken, nugget, sausage, omega egg and Nippon premium product. No bias , their product quality and taste really not bad.

Just saw layhong staff doing promotion over their tasting booth counter in AEAON. Nippon premium nutriplus product is one of display list. Look Layhong is working hard toward boosting their product selling.

Those quietly acquire at low at least to have 20% profit now

Competition getting stiff for digital business as more player is expected to do same business. Getting slim, efficient to stay competitive is very much relevant now. Astro will suffocate if not doing anything as loss of status of monopoly. Is irreversible.

Teoseng & LTKM will enjoy good harvest for coming quarter. Retail Table grade A egg price is now 42 cent in Perak, 48 cent in Penang..... other state may be in this range too.

Normally only redundant staff will be accepted to take VSS. For the key person if you want to take also got no chance. Let say 15% of staff will be offered with VSS, the conservative estimation of compensation amount will fetch around 40 to 60 million. Big portion of compensation amount will be offset and mitigated by lesser forex loss expected on coming quarter.

The reduced overhead cost will have much cost saving in later quarter compare to one time compensation. That's actually a good thing to astro.

Goinvest88, thanks for sharing. I have checked on a few area across selangor and perak district but didn't notice of any broken sausage pack issue. I suspect some of deteriorated processed chicken product may also include Nippon Premium Nutriplus's processed chicken product which seek high premium.

l only buy the omega egg for the recognised brand such as Nutriplus, LTK & QL

Right now a lot unpopular egg producer branding their egg as omega 3 but selling at lower price, don't know is really Omega or not.

WE do a market search found out layhong product overall is more expensive than other brand. For processed chicken product or other frozen food like nugget, sausage, Ayamas(QSR) present a big challenge to Layhong.

Book in deteriorated processed chicken product not heard in years before. Take note that life span for processed chicken product is not few months but 1 year, so l was thinking whether it is one lumpsum book in for past few years expired processed chicken product as the book in amount l think is quite big

Egg shortage is just available on news recently but egg price has been strengthened since August.

Teoseng & LTKM will likely create another good coming quarter result.

Start from August grade A egg retail selling price is 39 cent at my place, until two weeks ago, it was increased to 41 cent until now. Other state was even seek price as high as 45 cent currently. Those not always buying groceries may not aware about this.

Retail normal Grade A egg price in the selling price range from 40 to 45 cent per each in peninsular now.

l know only Nutriplus egg selling well at 99 MART. Very week almost sapu habis. Egg seeks very high price since August. The recent week hike some more 2 cent per egg.

Those still shouting sunset industry doesn't aware Astro re bounced from low of 1.05 to current 1.39?

The future of layhong is full of challenge. The layhong is like a chicken with one leg crippled while other leg stand still. The path move forward is difficult with low visibility but still have a ray of sunlight atop.

The affected farm is STF. IF the impacted farm has material impact of Layhong asset, then probably we have the case to file complaint against Layhong management for not disclose any material impact due to bird flu.

Call in is not sufficient. To make complaint proceed, a formal written compliant is requested.

CCK having the same condition, its poultry section is turned in to negative in just released quarter result. Processed chicken product is not seeking high price and this may related to oversupplied condition

l heard the culling bird number is thousand of birds in Sabah Farm, someone shared in this forum before. Believe it is truth not rumour

moneySIFU, Culling is one time, farm is operational now. This is not big matter to me.

The one worried me is the one you concerned too. Somehow looked to me the processed chicken product is now oversupplied in market until there is huge return of expired processed chicken product. This is really not good sign as over supplied condition normally will take long to recover.
