On CPO gloomy days, UP beats the market, and the excess earnings they keep in reserve.

Sure, on CPO boom days like these they screw up a bit. But this is when the past reserve earnings come in handy.

I still have faith in UP.

When u invest in UP, u treat it just like EPF in the sense that as long as they can deliver the market-beating dividend year in, year out, you don't go over-analyse their P&L. Though what Sardin doing is good work, knowledge is good.

The "loss" that you see at current quarter results are all accounting mumbo jumbo. People who invest in UP typically invest because of their trust in the capability and integrity of its Management.
