吉隆坡2日讯）顶级手套（TOPGLOV，7113，主要板医疗保健）指出，全球大流行促使手套需求激增的现况是暂时性的，预计医用手套全年需求将增长约12%。



该公司主席丹斯里林伟才接受牛津商业集团（Oxford Business Group）访问时指出，手套是卫生保健领域必不可少的物品，即使是在新冠肺炎（2019冠状病毒疾病）爆发之前，需求仍有望每年至少增长10%。

他认为，随著人们对手套重要性的意识提高，近几个月才开始使用手套的人，预计在疫情消退后还将继续使用，让需求进一步提高，每年估计以12%的速度增长。

“但要意识到，由疫情推动的的需求暴涨只是暂时性的。过去大约每5年会发生一次流行性疾病，新冠肺炎只是周期中的一环。”

同时，林伟才说，公司将致力于满足长期的需求增长。

“相信市场还能够吸收额外的产能，我们将继续扩大生产，并在必要时调整计划。”

顶级手套每年兴建一至两家新工厂，且产能充裕。随著需求暴增，厂房的利用率已从85%提高到近100%。

In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the new business would be in addition to the group’s core business of supplying high quality and precision-machined components.

“The company has placed orders for the production machinery. Subject to the approval being obtained from all the relevant authorities, the production is expected to be commenced by the end of May 2020 in the company’s main factory, ” NVB said.

The products would be sold in local markets, it noted.


“The new business is expected to have a positive impact on the earnings and net asset per share of the group for the financial year ending Sept 30,2020, ” NVB said.

Following the Movement Control Order (“MCO”) period as imposed by the Government to contain the spread of the COVID-19 outbreak in Malaysia, Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (“Bursa Securities”) had on 16 April 2020 granted an extension of time until 30 June 2020 for listed issuers to issue their quarterly report which is due by 31 May 2020.



In consideration of the challenges facing by the Company and its subsidiaries during the current situation, the Board of Directors of GDB wishes to inform that GDB will utilise the said extension of time granted by Bursa Securities to release and submit its unaudited first quarterly report for the period ended 31 March 2020 by 30 June 2020.

（吉隆坡18日讯）因应2019冠状病毒病推高个人防护装备（PPE）需求，诺申集团（NOTION，0083，主板科技股）决定进军医疗保健领域，生产与销售PPE产品。

诺申该集团向交易所报备，集团将涉足生产与销售PPE产品，包括医疗呼吸机相关零件。



该集团现有核心业务为精密加工零件供应，并称未来也会继续专注该业务。

PPE产品的生产将遵照国际组织标准，目前现正等待相关机构批准，预计下月可开始进行生产，产品将在本地市场出售；该集团已下单订购生产机械。

另外，该集团会通过内部资金来成立新业务，估计不会大幅影响负债率，并能提振本财年盈利和每股净资产。

诺申集团指出，过去多年在精密加工零件与其他相关产品方面，已建立起良好记录与专业知识，因此相信集团有能力缩小风险。

Notion Vtec, a supplier of high quality and precision machined components for the automotive, hard disk drive and electronics manufacturing services (EMS) segments, has decided to venture into the manufacturing of face masks, as well as the production of components for medical ventilators.

Executive chairman Thoo Chow Fah says Notion is expecting to produce 150 million pieces of three-ply surgical face masks per year, with annual sales estimated at more than RM100 million.

“The ventilator components are expected to garner sales of RM10 million to RM15 million over the next two months,” he tells The Edge.

For its first financial quarter ended Dec 31, 2019 (1QFY2020), Notion Vtec made a net profit of RM14.17 million against a net loss of RM2.17 million a year ago, largely owing to a business interruption loss insurance settlement arising from a fire that occurred at its facility in 2017.

Revenue for 1QFY2020 increased 11% to RM70.34 million on higher contribution from its EMS segment.

Notion Vtec closed at 81 sen last Wednesday, which translates into a market capitalisation of RM274.37 million. Compared with a year ago, its share price has appreciated 41%.

In consideration of the difficulties in preparing the quarterly report during such period, the Board of Directors of NVB wishes to inform that NVB will utilise the extension of time granted by Bursa Securities and will ensure that the quarterly report is issued latest by 30 June 2020.
